I think I read the chairman played himself as striker alongside Anelka?
Players make some strange choices just to make an extra few million they will never spend.... Some of the players going to the Eastern Russian team are crazy
He was definately still good enough to play at a top level, never mind the MLS' and Asian teams
Yup apparently the owner played alongside Anelka as a striker in a friendly game.
Agreed about the few extra millions thing.
Maybe it's because we haven't had a chance to choose, but I think it would be much better to play football at a more competitive level than go to a poor league just for the money.
Anelka must be kicking himself really, missing out on a Champions League medal for this
I think Drogba will stay in europe. He still has a couple of years left in him at the top level!
