isnt that just because you're so crap though admin1 ?
yes, yes it is.
The ACL rate from my 5s was 3 ACL tears out of 10 players in less than 3 years.
as in being bad at it, and swearing. not the injuries thing
The footall leagues, Div 2 to Prem, already have a mechanism in place that cover this called the fairplay league:
http://www.premierleague.com/en-gb/matchday/fair-play-calculation.html
4 of the 6 categories are judged by observers and iclude behavior of fans, staff and spectators in this respect.
We don't need another mechanism if we already have one, but maybe expand on the reward/punishment of the tables.
Zero tolerance never works.
Trying to get swearing out if the game....about effin time!

maybe the ref needs to be given some discretion in assessing what he regards as wanton swearing.

What if a player gets injured and swears? Will he get sent off to?
maybe some of my comments on this thread have been ill considered.
i do believe though that it would be a big improvement if swearing could be reduced in the game.
i am not ssaying the two are compable, but when you think what has been done to eradicate racism from the sport in the last few decades, i dont see why the same push cant be made to take flagrant and constant obscenities out of the game, particularly that which is directed at referees or which is made in front of children.
I'm sure some players could claim swearing is a sign of affection in their own country.

I think we should be able to hear the refs mike over the TV. This would highlight what players are saying to the ref, as well as give an idea of why the referee is giving what decisions.
Wouldn't make much difference in all honesty. The same people that swear at football matches will swear at home in front of their kids who in turn will swear in school where other kids will hear it. Swearing is an epidemic.
fair point spurtle
admin 1 - sorry for digging you out earlier. it wasnt necessary, and was a bit obtuse
I think swearing at peoria should be yellow, swearing has different effects based on the context. For example 'oh for feck sake' doesn't really offend. Whereas 'OH, FECK FACE. Feck off home you pile of wonk' might
The latter is unnecessary and shouldn't be allowed.
And then I forgot to mention you've got swearing in films and on TV, and on the internet. About 90% of Youtube must be swear words.
wrong thread. having a nightmare.
Someone* don't know where peoria came from, or what it meens for that matter
All I ever do is swear at matches,I wouldn't know what to say if I couldn't swear, now feck off and stop trying to ruin my fun.
Steve Keane!!!!!!!! Kin hell!!!!
Why dont they first try it out in the womens game.Seems they wanna turn the real game into that.
Christ almighty, what next?
People need somewhere they can let off a bit of steam - and shouting at the referee (or whoever) at a football match is an ideal place.
If people dont like swearing DON'T GO to the football.
