Poor Zachsda misses the point again. No other newspaper in Scotland ran the story apart from the Record.
Did I say the Sun always tell the truth? No, so stop making stuff up.
I'm afraid it's you who lives in a little Old Firm bubble where your automatic reaction is to take the opposite view of any Celtic fan.
You're a living cliche.

Now trees I may at times talk rubbish however the very fact that a non story in a newspaper get a reaction like this says the paper have done their job.
We all know it this player today and tomorrow it will be another in the Sun record or where ever.
Its just a story and it seems true. However garbage.
Why would it not be.
Now you could try and respond without insults.

some a you bhoys are gonna be at your wit's end come august,aw these rumours flyin aboot regards your gaggle of 10m players
Zachsda
I never said you were anti-Celtic. I said you were stupid
Surly a real transfer story should have players actually in the act of being enquired about...Not just an agent doing his job and a paper stirring the pot?
Do agents have to pay for this service?

well in nirvana yes.
But it fills a few inches of print.
Tomorrow it will be Naisy then by Wednesday it might be Kayal

You can't beat a bit offensive name calling when stuck in work on a Saturday afternoon!

Zachsda, shocking no, lazy in terms of journalism yes.
A phone call from his agent, ten minutes writing the story and your day's done.
It reeks a bit of doing the agents work for him. Would he have to pay the going amount for advertising?
Of course all players want better contracts and some want to play at a higher level. I can respect that.
But lazy journalism like this makes me laugh.
I always get a good chuckle pre season.
DR journalist phones Celtic: "Is there any truth to this story?"
Celtic: "No"
Oh well, just print it anyway. It's no more ridiculous than Rangers signing Gattuso I suppose.
Well known fact that the DR and it's ilk fill their comics with makey-uppy codswallop.
Yet still the traders in fantasy get a wage out of half wits...
I BLAME THE NON-DOM SCHOOLS.

The Duke
The agent trying to sell the player is the story.
Sure it is Duke
Agreed....But they're so funny. I kinda like reading them. I'm waiting for the story they keep the same but just change about the names.....That'd make my day.
“He has sometimes felt undervalued but he really enjoyed last season at Celtic and it was an honour and privilege for him to help them win the league title.
“He also felt he built up a special relationship with the Celtic supporters.
“Victor hopes they can understand his reasons for wanting to leave.”

This is a quote from the article.
And its also a quote from the 'friend'
Now if you have that then you have a story.
Its being described as 'lazy' well as its a direct quote then that is hardly the case.
they proddy haufwits gettin the kafflik haufwits aw ragin',whit ur they like man
Duke
If the story is about the agent then why didn't they just say it was his agent?
This is too funny watching Rangers fans trying to justify nonsense
No such thing as a kafflik half wit...
Autistic.

why would they even need to phone Celtic
They have the story
The story is the agent trying to punt the player.
They have quotes
How would Celtic even know anything about it at this stage?
The agent does not need to tell them.
At the end of the day he has a contract and if anyone wishes to bid THEN Celtic are involved.
