I get confused by terms. I never mention this in my tactics, but on transfermarkt.co.uk a lot of the dutch teams are described as playing a defensive 433, is this technically incorrect?

I suppose it depends on the context of how the game pans out Welshy
Take Ajax for example - they start pressing from the kick off and at times one of the two centre halves is in effect the DM. The midfiled trio are in an advanced position and it's as if they are playing 3-1-5-1 .....then if they are on the back foot so to speak 2 of the midfielders will drop much deeper and so on. I think it's more about flexibility and being able to tinker the formation according to how the game pans out
