Dani Sachez was Wenger's assistant in Japan hes the manager of Tours hes coached Olivier Giroud

There are plenty of strikers who can replace RVP yes we cant replace his technical ability but we can replace his goal scoring ability

Giroud at Arsenal would score 30 + goals imo with the service he would get at Arsenal

Wenger is (sometimes) always right

He brought in an unknown french kid named Nic Anelka and we all know what he did for us before he left

Still don't believe this is going to happen.

Mirror are simply regurgitating yesterdays twitter rumour.

Not a fact to be found in that article to suggest a deal is any closer than January when Arsenal were rumoured to be interested.

I believe he is just one of many strikers that have been scouted throughout the season and the rumours are just getting out of hand because he is French Ligue top scorer this year.

Look Adebayor scored 30 goals for us and from what I have seen Giroud looks better technically holds the ball up better and is more intelligent

We only signed Chamakh because he was available on a free he only scored 10 league goals for Bordeaux when they won the title

Giroud has scored 21 for Montpellier

Wenger must have thought he could get Chamakh to score 20 plus goals

He scored 7 league goals but Wenger didnt have the balls to leave RVP on the bench and put CHamakh ahead of him

Please stop overrating Giroud

For all we know he could flop like Chamakh or Gervinho

Giroud is Pants. RVP is the best CF in the Europe. Swallow that John.

Giroud is nothing like Gervinho or Chamakh

Hes technically and physically better.

Hes a got a great left foot and he always want to get into the box and score goals

I like how Giroud will definitely be a success because he is the highest scorer in Ligue 1 but RVP is a failure despite getting mroe goals in a tougher league

He could or he could not. Who knows?

Serial you . Giroud isnt pants. John is right here.

RVP should have scored more goals he missed too many crucial chances in big games imo in the fa cup and champions league

LIke City away, Man utd at home, Fulham away, swansea away, Chelsea at home, Norwich at home, Milan home,

John

That's garbage mate - pure and simple - GARBAGE.

Giroud is not a better striker than RvP. RvP outscored him in the hardest league in Europe, Giroud may be physically stronger, but out of the two, I - and most sane Arsenal fans - know which one they would prefer.

You can say 'should have' about almost any player John.

All players miss shots, miss tackles, fail to track a man. All players have ups and downs in form during a season.

For the sake of balance, now that you've pointed out the times RVP couldn't save AFC in games you should also point out the times he did......

John's garbage seriously has no bounds.

What utter bs. What about Chelsea away? What about Spurs at home? You are selectively picking matches where he didn't score? And has Giroud scored every chance he has received this season? John is reaching Sandy levels of wumming now. Then again , maybe John is Sandy

RVP is a league player hes not suited to cup competitions big games you only have a few chances

Hes not like Henry or Drogba or even someone like Fabregas in terms of influencing games imo

Relies too much on service

Giroud will cause defences more problems than RVP

RVP hasnt got pace, hes not strong in the air he cant shrug off defenders, he cant turn and run at players

Hes like a Totti type hes a link up player

????????
A striker relies on service? Wow thats shocking!!

And how many times has Fabregas affected cup games? Milan away is the only example that comes to mind.

Also, Fab and Henry were playing with a far betetr team that RVP is. Fab had RVP/Ade to finish. Henry had Bergkamp/Pires/Ljungberg/Vieira to link with. RVP has Ramsey and Song. Notice a difference?

Let me guess. You think Jenkinson is much better than Sagna right?

Giroud is like Adebayor in terms of running in behind, running through the channels, getting into the box, competing in the air, holding it up

I prefer that conventional type striker than a false number 9

RVP scored close to 40 goals with a supply line of Rosicky, Ramsey, Walcott, Gervinho and Song.

If Giroud has that service (which is looking likely) I doubt he'll score over 25

Go to 2.10 on this video where he shrugs off 3 Sunderland players.

Sorry John, but you're talking out your backside.
