The point is I believe Giroud will cause defences more problems influence crucial games

RVP when there is no service goes quiet, goes missing doesnt put himself about.......

I'd rather have a proven 40 goal a season man over potential from Ligue 1

Thank God you are not the Arsenal manager. How can you honestly believe that Giroud will suit the Premier League better than van Persie when he scored considerably less than Robin in a slower paced league?! You think Giroud will make up van Persie's 37 goals if he leaves this Summer?

Giroud is a decent player from what I've heard and read but one thing I know for sure is that he is nowhere near van Persie's level. It's not even a close contest.

Giroud can't replace RVP on his own, no way. RVP may not be clinical as we'd all like, but there's a reason why he's scored 37 goals: he's a damn good finisher.

However together I'm confident that together Podolski and Giroud would replace RVP's goals, as well as adding more aerial ability. I know that's 2 spaces taken up instead of 1 but last season we had Gervinho up front who was basically a waste of space goalscoring-wise (I'm not a Gerv hater by the way) and I'm confident that together Giroud and Poldi could match the 41 goals scored by RVP and Gervinho combined last season.

So you say Giroud will be better than RVP in games where there is no service. Then you compare Giroud to Adebayor. Notice a logical fallacy there?
