No offence to the guy but stuff I've read on here from Weare

He hasnt been brainwashed. He was born thick.
Every team/nation has stupid fans. In my opinion this tournament has been the first in my lifetime that England have approached without a high level of expectation.
I know people that think this euro's can be won, it's pretty stupid really. I think realistically we'll make the semi's and go out there.

Relating to his, i did find it funny last night when the commentors suggested Spain would rather play France than ourselves. The premise being we defend deeper which is likely to frustrate them??????????????
Ignoring the fact they'd probably prefer us as France are the better team
No they'd prefer France because Englund are bester than the Franch.
Why is it delusional? If we face Italy I feel we can beat them but we will lose in the semi final to Germany or Spain
Personally I don't see why England winning the Euros is completely out of the question.
I'm not saying we are world-beaters, I'm not saying we should be one of the favourites, and I'm not saying we are better than the likes of Spain and Germany.
I'm just saying that if the England team get their heads down and really go for it, then they might just surprise some people.

If you go on Chelsea's Facebook comments, you'll get exactly the same type of thing thing. It's in no way representive of the overall fan view.
The English media have no sense of perspective whatsoever when it comes to your football team. Had you lost to Sweden then the knives would have been out and a lot of the players would not have been good enough to play for England, in their opinion. Nevertheless, on the back of that win over the Swedes I have seen one journalist already state that their are definite parallels with the current England team and the previous England team which participated in Italia 90; which is delusional, in my opinion. There are too many knee-jerk reactions with the England national team, in that some players are hyped up on the basis of one or two performances and conversely others are not good enough on the basis of one or two performances.
England are capable of beating most teams, in my opinion. But they have no given right to be beating the likes of Italy or Spain.
The media do their best to make sure England do their worst
What i find funny is the Scottish and Irish 'fans' who's best day of the year is if England fail Pathetic
I agree completely. I'm Irish by the way.
But you can tell how far removed the English media are from reality when they continually called into question whether Capello was good enough for them, despite the success he has enjoyed in football. They also complained about his communication skills. Therefore, you think that the man they would want to replace him would be a very successful and articulate manager. Was it? No it was a man who was not even in the slightest successful enough to be considered for the job, and a man who also admitted he struggles to communicate in his native language, never mind a foreign one!
The vast majority of England fans can't get past their club allegiances. The op just did it here with his remark on gj, guys a good defender and England's best right back.
Too many divisions in the fans and media and way to many ex players talking in the media undermining whoever the current manager is.

It's not my best day of the year when England fail. I know that Ireland are a small country, whose population is far less than that of even London, so I am quite realistic about where we should be aiming. We should be aiming to qualify and at least be competitive, that's all.
