And besides, this has nothing to do with what he has done in the past. This is about NOW, and it's very hard to name a striker who is better than Ibrahimovic.
--------------------------------------------------

OK then, right NOW, what makes Ibra better than RVP?

Look at the passes he played through to the Swedish forwards in the England game, his passing is so crisp and his crossing is on point. The man is fantastic and I could watch him play all day, quality footballer.

RvP is an incredible player though

"Van Persie better in most aspects of the game. "

Good God.

And what about all the times where he took bloody ages to release ball? He was just standing there like a big dope hogging the ball.

Which passes were those? Sweden didnt get a single chance at goal from a clever through ball.

Please dont tell me Ibra's mis hit shot from the free kick rebounding from the wall is what you are talking about !

More clinical, stronger on the ball, better link up play, more mobile, more versatile, better in the air, more influential in general play etc etc I could go on and on.

RVP is class but Ibra is better IMO.

I think the game in the CL against Arsenal (San Siro) last season was fantastic as well, creating so many chances for Robinho and Boateng whilst trying to score himself. Who said he's not a team player? He provides lots of chances for his team mates

===

He's better than RVP at almost everything.

Touch, dribbling, finishing, heading etc.

VRF

He's creative and he's a good old fashioned striker aswell. Best of both worlds.

Is that it? You still have not explained the reasons for Ibra being better than Van Persie.

2011/2012 - 35 goals.
2010/2011 - 21
2009/2010 - 21
2008/2009 - 29
2007/2008 - 22

His total the past 5 seasons.

The only thing RVP has over Ibra is probably work-rate.

This 'he's not a team player' argument is so bloody flawed. He creates bags of chances for the players around him.

The Ibra fan boys are out tonight.

I admit. Ibra is world class and he deserves to get Ball d'Or next

Ibra is inconsistent though. To be the best in the world you have to have more consistency.

Talent-wise though, RVP is well behind sadly.

I'm not talking about chances, he played dangerous balls in that just skid through the English defence and went to the Swedish forwards. And his crossing as well was on point.

Kamran, it's even worse than the 'he goes missing in big games' argument.

Look I love to defend arsenal players and praise them but Ibra is in a different league to RVP.

Kamran changing his tact on Ibra.

I can't agree with anyone who thinks Ibrahimovic is the third best player in the world.

You laughed at me, a few months back.
