Some good matches today! NITB and I are finally going to meet today on court 1 and CC. We will be watching a bit of Djoko and Feder but I think I will start with outside courts :Gasquet, Simon, Youzhny and Nalby of course. With a bit of luck Nalby will throw his racquet in the crowd in rage and I'll catch it.

wow!!.. Do you all know each other personally? I don't know anyone on any tennis forum personally.

I have my plans to be able to visit London next year to watch wimbledon. I haven't visited many places, perhaps you all could help me out.

raiders, where are you coming from?

What sort of things/places would you be looking for in London?

LOL! Of course not. NITB woudl actually be the 3rd person I'd meet from a forum. One was to buy old match DVDs from (used to be my worse ennemy on 606) and now we meet up every 2 months to chat about tennis cause he works near where I live. The second one was a very nice woman who had debenture tickets I bought from.

Rotla, I'll certainly be happy to meet with you next year if you come along at Wimbledon.

@tenez, jonty
I live in a land far far away. And I have never got a chance to visit any country other than the one where I was born. So not sure what to look for.

But my trip would need huge planning. So saving every possible penny for it.

People always focus on London itself, but don't miss out on beautiful countryside just outside London, 400 year old pubs, cricket matches, Borough food market, brighton pavilion, arcades off Picadilly....

Djoko has demolished poor ferrero. Fognini-Llodra and Tipsy-Nalby going good at the moment.

U should have watched Gulbis v Berdych. What a day 1 at Wimby!
Gulbis dumps Berdych, Falla beats Isner, Fognini wins against Llodra. Bring it on Wimby, it is looking good.

The Gulbis Berdych match was good. Gulbis is a great player to watch. The power he generates is stunning.

Have not seen him much lately, but as far as I remember he sprays it a lot too. I remember Mary Pierce - she would also hit with tremendous power but nobody had any idea where the ball would go.

This was an exciting result and it perhaps rekindles whatever hope one has left for Gulbis. But, in the end, this was mainly a good result for Novak.

Certainly! This is why I think it's no point hoping he will strings wins from now on....but on the day, it's pretty nice to watch. I would have liked to see him in a day like that versus the other top players.

Rotla, get out of bed, Day two is about to start !!!!

As or day one, had a beautiful time, the weather was glorious, and there was so much tennis to be seen, you just can't manage to see even 10%, unfortunately.

Tenez was a great guide around the courts although there were so many people it was hard to move from court to court.

Everywhere you looked, you could see a good player: Istomin, Seppi, Tursunov... all playing their matches almost anonymously on small courts to passing by crowds.

Really enjoyed seeing Nole on CC, playing on the immaculate lawn, no bald patches, all lush green and soft.
The court was packed and felt more alive than C1.
