On another hand, I do not really understand keepers guessing and just diving right or left. Reaction saves ftw.

If he scores, it's class. If it's saved, he's lazy!

The same happened with Berba, but his got saved.

Zidane did it a couple tournaments ago. It takes a certain class of footballer to pull it off.

In a shoot-out I do think it's sometimes better for the goalie just to react, as often players are too tired to place it perfectly in the corner, their legs have gone. However I think the problem yesterday was that Hart was diving ridiculously early, giving the Italians all the time in the world to adjust their body shape and drive it down the middle or into the other corner.

Pirlo just oozes class.

His performance yesterday was a pure masterclass.

Shame it was against us

I think there was a Uruguayan who did it at the last World Cup vs. Ghana.

No-one called that disrespectful, even though it was against a team that had already been cheated out of the semi-final by our mate Suarez.

Pirlo was just class throughout yesterday. Looks like he's getting even better with age.

Don't think pirlo gave away the ball once, all of his passes were sublime. England didn't help themselves by allowing him all the time and space in the world though.

RVP's was disrespectful because he did it knowing the game was already won and if he missed it was no big deal

The end justified the means. Of course if he missed and Young's pen went in off the bar, how would he have looked. We are only talking tiny margins.

Big Ears

The game was already won?

It was 0-0

Wolves may have been down to 10 men but they held us to a draw at the Emirates with 10 men, and if RvP felt it was the best way to deceive the keeper (normally he just smacks it in the corner) then it's not disrespectful.

For the good of football and the love of our game please, please dont listen to anything Adrian Durham says.

Wolves were down to 10 men, neither side really had anything to play for. You'd have still had 85 odd minutes to score which you would have done against that Wolves defence

I don't listen to Adrian Durham. But you can't help hearing him sometimes.
