I'm shocked you haven't included Downing.

Johnson for Richards.
Kelly () for Lescott
Gerrard for Cleverly/Rodwell
Rooney for Carroll
Gibbs for Baines

More like it.

Carroll? Decent player, but to keep possession, we need Welbeck, who is now England's first choice striker.

Need defensive cover in midfield. And Richards for Walker IMO.

take it you didn't watch yesterdays game, the whole tournament or simply a cousin of ashleys
young should be given a 10m perimeter away from and influence of the england camp. I was one of those that were geeing him up to finally shine but dear or dear me he was abject and even that is beig generous

why would i include downing, hes awful,

bains will be 29

cleverly looked average at wigan and playing for united so suddenly is world class. He is the same level of young (lets no go there)

rodwell hasn't even proven hes worth in an everton shirt

posted on 25/6/12

Who else you gonna play downing may as well not go.
Walker is quality has to play Richards back up Smalling and jones future cb pairing could even play jones in DM as the cover when he's older and more experienced. England don't really have that good defensive midfieled player like a busquets, mvilla

If you think about it, England's future defense will be fantastic. We'll have Walker, Kelly, Smalling, Jones, Cahill, Baines, Gibbs, Richards, Bertrand.

How old is Gerrard? He'll be 34 at the next tournament. Yet he's in your team.

I said you'd include Downing because you're clearly trying to include as many Liverpool players as possible.

Kelly hasn't proven anything in a Liverpool shirt, yet he gets picked over Lescott and Smalling? You're having a giraffe.

Also, Rodwell has done more than Wilshere, who you have included. In fact, Wilshere has had one good season. If Rodwell hasn't proven anything yet, what has Carroll done?

England have always had world class defences even the current defence for me was best defence in the tournament but i do confer the above players do look quality.

Kelly has played about 40 games for Liverpool and has looked top class. Superb going forward, superb at the back, I swear I've not seen him put a foot wrong.

a full back needs blister pace, baines doesn;t have that now what makes you think he will have it in 2 years

how am i trying to include as many liverpool players as possible. I have included 4, 2 of which were easily the best players for england ( gerrard and gohnson), the other scored as many goals in the tournament has danny "myth" wellbeck and wayne "savour" rooney

lescott will be 31 and cannot guarantee a place in his club team.

smalling does not have a goal scoring thread unlike cahil and hes not as versatile as jones

Smalling is miles better than Kelly fact

Gerrard shouldn't be anywhere near the midfield in the world cup. He was average in this tournament and is getting worse. Andy Carroll is a terrible footballer and we shouldn't have him in the squad. Not unless he somehow in the space of two years learns to play football.

If Johnson keeps playing at the level that he has been then he should play. Smalling is a much better defender than Jones. Smalling and Cahill should be our partnership at the back.

I imagine though we'll see all the same faces with Terry, Gerrard, Lampard and Parker all lining up in Brazil.

Which it is

posted on 25/6/12

Why does it matter how old they are? Terry is 31 now (Younger than Gerrard, who again, is still in your team ) and was our best defender, so I will be confident Lescott can do the same.

Smalling is a far better defender than Jones, most United fans will tell you this. He will be United's #1 CB in a few years.

Why does a full back need to have "blister pace"? How fast is Ashley Cole (arguably the best LB in the world), really?

so despite the fact young has been majorly involved in 12 out of 24 england goals before the tournament, he has 3 bad games and he's ready for the srapyard

oh dear

why are everyone still putting down a 4-4-2 formation? IT WILL NEVER WORK against the good teams and i hope Woy understands this.
