There's just no comparison to make with Ramsey's and Wilshere's injuries.

There is one comparison.....the length of time out!!!!
This means Wilshere will need about 3 months of regular play, injury free to get back to the level he was at before he got crocked
the players don't pick themselves the manager picks them so it's time we layed off the likes of ramsey and give them time to develop.....or are we saying we know more than wenger?
----------------------------------------------------------
IF Wenger is chooding to sell him, perhaps those fans were correct and are aligned with Wenger.

Cant agree with this - players lose match fitness after a few weeks (just look at Rooney). All the players returning after the summer holiday will need time to get sharp again.
Ramsey can be a top player. Showed glimpses this year - Chelsea away anyone?

Little difference. Fitness is not linear.

Wilshere won't be playing regularly till the end of the season. So I don't get the point?
Thats why we bought Arteta.

Yes it might be BS. Hence the capital IF.
This Ramsey discussion is all a bit moot anyway.
Wilshere
Song
Arteta
Rosicky
Coquelin
Diaby
M'Vila?
When exactly will Ramsey get a game? He'd be a 3rd choice.
Ramsey needs another year to fully recoiver. At that level of athletisism it takes time to get back. Take Rosicky as an example, it took him 2 years to get his form back after his injury. I see no point in selling Ramsey for £5m when this time next year he could be back to the form that made him Welsh captain and he would be worth keeping or selling for a lot more. At the end of the day if we give him another year and he doesnt return to form wew should still be able to get £5m.

Wages. simple. The list of players above shows that he would be a bench warmer sucking up wages.

there has to be a link between time out and time taken to recover to peak fitness!!
Wilshere won't be playing regularly till the end of the season. So I don't get the point?
The point is the whinning fans will be moaning if wilshere doesn't get going immediately....nothing to do with cover

Dont think its as simple as that - its very unique. Also Wilshere would not have stopped training altogether - i.e. he wont be 2 stone overweight from scoffing Pizza's whilst watching The X Factor. A base level of fitness will have been maintained.
In terms of match fitness - after the pre season there is no reason he wont be as ready as any other player.
All assuming he doesnt get another knock
I think he will be playing from day 1, and i dont think anyone will be on his back if he doesnt start the season well. But, if he has a season as bad as Ramsey's, then yes they will.

Wilshere says he expects to be training with the squad from the start of pre season on July 9th. He has also said he has been working on fitness daily.

Cant understand why Ramsey would be anyone's favorite player
Wilshere is a different class
Ramsey will never cut it

Do arsenal a favour and go and support Manchester city.
I'd send him on loan, i wouldn't sell him, he still has time on his side, he could come good eventually, and we'd then look stupid if he does well for Fulham.

Loan would probably be the best option (as i said mid year). To be honest though, I doubt he will ever force his way into a top teams starting midfield.

I don't think so. Lets assume that Wilshere finds it very hard at the beginning of his comeback. Wilshere has two advantages over Ramsey.
a) Wilshere has already proven himself for a huge part of season in the first team as a regular. And done so very successfully. So we already know what a talent he is. That buys a lot of time. Just like it always did with Cesc, Henry et al. Although I was also guilty of hyperbole over Ramsey back on 606, he had the odd game in the first team. Ramsey was not a regular by any stretch of the imagination. A great potential. But just that. In fact Ramsey was cover for Denilson and much of the hype was because Denilson was performing very poorly but Arsene would not drop him. There is a class difference between Ramsey and Wilshere.
b) Wilshere is a gooner. He has developed from a very young age. And the fans have an affinity with Wilshere that they do not with Aaron. And as much as I try to assess players purely based on their talent, no one can sometimes help being swayed by the obnoxious arrogance that Aaron sometimes shows. That often does not endear him to anyone. Much like Arshavin. It sometimes affects his game with the hollywood stuff and ignoring the simple, obvious pass.
Wiltshire is a west ham fan....
I think getting rid of Ramsey would be very harsh, BUT, there is a part of me deep down inside that would love it to happen. Not because I think Ramsey is crap, but because it would finally show a signal of intent from Wenger to stop persisting with mediocrity instead of protecting it. There are a lot of players I would get rid of before Ramsey but if he does go I won't shed a tear. Sadly because of Shawcross I don't think Ramsey will ever be the player we hoped him to be which is a huge shame because he really looked a talent.

Wilshere has grown up at Arsenal. He was born in Stevenage for god sake. Wilshere is a gooner.
Its just the same argument of why people still like to see Cesc succeed.
