You lost me at talk sport.

Designed to cause shock, backed up without facts.

Im sorry but ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ this is the right answer.

I have been p1ssed off with TS in the past when they have discussed Liverpool but the response you have had is exactly what everyone on there is intending to do regardless of their own support for a team...

scouse-heart.
You are going to hae to help me out with your response please. I know it is early in the day but what, exactly, do you mean?
This Sports Writer is on the show on a regular basis and always appears to have something negative to say about Everton.
He reflects these views in his Articles in The Times if you ever read it.He has aso beeen promoted to Sports Editor recently, so he is obviously held in high esteem by his Newspaper. I am not having a go at TALKSPORT in this instance but at their Guest Reporter.

He is saying guests are only on to make controversial remarks!

Its a commercial station reliant on call in listeners and sponsorship in the ad breaks. Do you think he would be invited onto 5 live?

posted on 29/6/12

Thank you Fellaini.

My point is that no matter who is brought onto the station they are most likely briefed to give an opinion that will encourage a shocked response from fans. The hosts of the show are biased, Ronnie Irani will not hear a word against united, on the drive time show in the afternoon they have a feature called the 'daily Arsenal' during which Adrian Durham (i think?) slags off Arsenal every day. That is the point of the station...

so to pick out one guest (due to him being a biased Liverpool fan) for me is a bit short sighted...take it all with a pinch of salt... its the only way to keep listening!! or alternatively stop listening...

Tony Evans is a kopite pr i ck & as such always spouts shight when talking about anything related to them, hence his downer on EFC.

If he said it was raining, I'd look out of the window.

FELLAINI. .
Five Live. He has appeared on Question Time before today!

Honest question...

how do you think any of us would come out looking in a similar position?

I know its not our job but even it was I doubt we would be much different. Do you?

Talking about Everton on question time? Don't you see the nature of talk sport...are they ever middle of the road.

Call in with your opinion kerching!

I rate the opinions expressed by 'experts' on TS just slightly behind those in the Daily Mail.

It's all hype to drive up calls to their shows.

You know what though you may be onto somethig here....

Football question time!!!???
Refs, Managers, FA, Players, Pundits, reporters, fans....

Travel round the country with regional foucs each time... Good ol Jeff Stelling as Dimbleby. taking questions from the audience... now that i would watch...

Try to ignore all the spelling mistakes ^^^ got a bit excited by the whole format/idea....

I did not say he talked about Everton on BBC,s Question Time, it was actually on the topic of Hillsborough. I was trying to impress upon you, the fact that he is regarded highly in his own Profession and is not classed as a Red Top hack. That was what made his comments this morning, so outrageous.

posted on 29/6/12

'That was what made his comments this morning, so outrageous.' as opposed to all the other 'reasonable comments' on TS???

why is no one as excited about 'Football question time' as me... it needs a catchy name though ??

Loosely! and dont you dare try to sell it on to The BBC without my consent and Commission.

Silky,

He was on question time talking about Hillsbrough.

Fair enough, but your synopsis of todays show points towards him being on the show to cause upset and spark debate. We have over 15 talk sport related comments just on here. Imagine how many people it sparked into calling in to 'put him straight'

Evans would talk the same shight if he was on the beeb, he's just a kopite balloon

posted on 29/6/12

TB, he would only talk about everton if prompted. I am sure 5 live wouldn't have him on talking that rubbish without something to back it up.

I wonder how many times the presenters ensured the audience knew that was just his opinion?

posted on 30/6/12

I listened to the remaining hour of the show and, if anyone did ring in to take him to task, then they were never put to Air.

A liverpool biased sports desk at The Times. Is the other season ticket holder at anfield still there,Tony Barrat.

Never heard the interview, but if he openly called Bill a liar regarding what Bill has long stated to be fact, and bearing in mind it would be simple for Bill to prove,he has a stone cold case for legal action against Evans.

posted on 30/6/12

Yes C.E. That other biased Reorter is still on The Times books.
Thank you for being the only Correspondent so far to have picked up on the very point i have been trying to make but which has not been taken on Board by the others.
That is why i pointed out Brazils obvious concerns and why i hoped B.K. had heard his comments and would respond accordingly.

So you believe by not going to a solicitor and demanding a retraction the accusations are true?

"Hey Bill lets spend time and money demanding a retraction"

I wonder why his views were not put into print in The Times?
