Could struggle - Depends upon whether we can entice Wor Lee back as Manager.
! If that happened we would be doomed
based on how we played against MKD at home, and sheff utd at Wembley, we are not brilliant are we.?
Ok, we're changing the squad around, but it needed it because for me this was the worst team we've had in 3 years. It's ironic we went up after some totally dire performances this last season.
I can't see us as play-off contenders, at best about 11th/12th but more likely 16th or so.
The only 'unless' tho' is if Larry has waived a magic wand and his new recruits and playing style just click next season...and we run away with the league winning every game and not conceding any goals...
wey hey !
Still in the Vendee actually but sheet weather today...
The new players we have will get us in top 6 , why not they are top championship players, look lets not fooking have arguments tez its true .
Mirf, c'mon fella, let's have some positivity!
I think, if they get off to a good start, may surprise a lot of people! For me, play good football and finish mid table, and then push on from there.
It also depends on Mr Hoyle, if he keeps buying quality players, Town may push for a play off place.
i hope grayson/hoyle and the team are thinking about cardiff away.. thats it..
aim to win that one, thats the most important game this season because its first/next...
far too much silly talk over the last few years about games in the future... clark did it and some went with the "there is always next week etc"..
most important 3 points is the ones you are about to play/are playing for, not next week, not christmas or the "very important easter period??", its football speak and its bollox...
I hope to watch town trying to win every game...that will do for me.. Some good, big games to look forward to, not stevenage on a sh-tty tuesday night... We even have blackpool away when the weather might still be ok...Its all good..
Im still smiling at the barnsley fans who couldnt wait for the "really good prospect" norwood to sign for them.. Apparently in the blink of an eye and the flash of a pen he is now "over priced, and very average" ??????
Ihope we can be more gracious when we lose out on a player who is "definitely" joining town..
Peltier gone to L666s for £350k.... Leicester website...
peltier stopped playing some time ago..
no idea what went wrong there..
maybe he is just naturally lazy????
Haha but if town were signig him, he would be the bees knees, ya 38, haha
next headline..
peltier gone back to yeovil on a free....warnock bemoans players lack of "appetite"...
loui..
peltier stopped playing for us long before he was transfered..
his "worth" has fallen by 50% in 12 months..
another year and you wont be able to give him away..
top 2 nay bother!...you only need a goalscorer in this div...very overated indeed....even barnsley were top 10 last term till vaz-te went to west ham then sank without trace!.....rhodes and novak will clean up in this div,and expect novak particularly to do well and prove his knockers wrong!
if taylor-fletcher can look like lionel messi in this div it really proves its a carp league
Hope it's not a crap lg, as i have been looking forward to it for a 11 years.
Loui,
The Championship is a cracking league and Town WILL finish at worst mid table or better.
There can't be much wrong with Peltier if he made 47 starts for Leicester last season.
Town are also interested in re-signing him according to today's Leicester Mercury.
Get him back, For that money he is cheap, I thought the Leicester fans thought he was great before crimbo,,,, Has he been commuting from Pool still ?? If he has and in the end just has not settled, Someone should remind him that even though Leeds is only down the road it will add at least another hour and a half to get to their training ground.
How will we fare ?? Who knows until Larry has finished assembling the squad.
peltier started ok with leicester..
then tailed off.. ring any bells?
the idea that they are now wanting offers of half what they paid for him is the most telling comment...
he did ok for us in a few games where he played in midfield but he wasnt half the defender that he used to be..
cant work out just where it went wrong with him.. was he "clarked"??? never seemed to get far over the half way line in his final season..
we may have better all round full backs now and we should now be able to get better midfield players than trying to convert a full back into one..
would he even consider coming as a bench player?, probably not...
remember the brentford away match..last couple of minutes, we had an attack, hunt running with the ball, we are all yelling for him to keep going...(meanwhile-i am informed, a banned peltier is on the radio pleading for hunt to keep the ball and run the clock down to get a 0-0 draw)... Hunt keeps going and gets a corner from which clark scores the winner at the death..
In hindsight now, peltier had been "clarked".....
Well 38, you can't say that our triumphant Wembley side (assembled by Clark) were "Clarked" in anyway can you?
And as for Peltier's price, it's now standing at £500k and is likely to rise further before he exits Leicester.
