Think you are wrong.

He's just not good enough to start in midfield for either Barca or Spain yet.

no its just at arsenal no one else could do it and were not very good

He quickly learned ref crowding and every tackle v Barca or Spain is a foul

Cesc has played his part in the team effort.

He's now but a cog in the machine, at Arsenal he was the machine.

he is a better player at barca now

Cesc only shone when Song and Denilson made him look good.

Cesc Match winning machine? He was one of the biggest choker in the squad. Good player with weak mental strength.

who gives a F about Cesc

Playing out of position doesn't help. He better hope Xavi retires asap or he'll just be a winger or striker.

Cesc himself said that he had to change when he arrived at Barca to fit in as part of the system, whereas at Arsenal they gave him free reign to do whatever he wanted as he was such a class player compared to anyone else.

Personally, I think they've shackled his best part as he is a moment of magic kind of guy, he was to us like Messi is to Barcelona, unfortunately now he is very much part of the system they play.

He sees the killer pass, Xavi sees every pass and always keep possession, Cesc offers that little bit different.

I think Thiago will replace Xavi when the great ma retires. Cesc is gonna have to wait until Iniesta retires.

Kam, I think it'll be the other way round. Cesc will take over Xavi, and Thiago for Iniesta

I miss Merida

I remember I saw the Emirates Cup, in 2009 and when we played Rangers. Merida was blown out of the water in comparison to Cesc and Jack.

Well it was Rangers

Merida still had that creative talent though.

Im not wumming, but I have noticed that Arsenal fans seem to be obsessed with Fabregas and regard him as a legend despite him forcing a move to barca. I see countless articles about him and im wandering why do you care so much about him? On the liverpool boards, there is hardly talk of fernando, mascherano and players who have left. Im also confuses why you see nasri as such a villain compared to fabregas?

Ironically I don't think he's ideally suited to the Barca/Spain way of playing and it wastes a fair bit of his talent. Actually it's not just him that Spain supresses by sticking rigidly to their style of play, there several times against Portugal that you could see Alonso almost playing the sweeping crossfield pass and then seemingly realising he was playing for Spain an just playing the short pass. And for a team that has such adventurous full-back, neither of which seem to be allowed to get to the by-line and put in any kind of ball, although wouldn't be too effective without a Torres/Llorente on the pitch.

Who else is? Face it, we are never going to find a player like Cesc again.

Didn't stop Merida being a decent player though.

Wilshere I think will be our creative force

Fabtast!c, I didn't even need to complain. The Admins are onto you

Cesc is brilliant, of course now he plays in a barca team with tactical discipline, more pressure and expectation.

Winch master (U10228)

hi there winchy!

I dont speak for all gooners, but Cesc unlike Torres and the Masch left on good terms, he had been at the club for 8 years so we knew him well. He is also more talented than Torres and the Masch, so naturally we are very fond of him. He also didn't move to chelsea he went to his boyhood club, one of the most prestigious in the world.

Having said that many gooners hate cesc, but im not in that group.

go Cesc!
