Brian Clough.

If he can take Wales to the world cup, I would agree.

I think Tony Adams will trump that

He managed Wycombe Wanderers

Didn't know this. Does help in all the teams he managed, he had some legends ie Zidane, Figo etc and now Spain.

It's unlikely anyone will ever match his achievements that makes him the best ever.

Hes not a patch on Phil Brown

Greatest ever.....well he's certainly up there with what he's done. But I still like managers that have created something out of nothing and gone on to win things with coaching unknown and youth players eg clough and sir Alex.

But we have won it

So your statement is void and pointless

I see the Emirates Cup was already mentioned...

on a serious note, Del Bosque is a top manager. I know I know, its hard to accept that there are great managers outside of the UK and the Premier league......

The 'greatest ever' manager would have to have not just won trophies but demonstrably brought something unique and remarkable to the teams he managed. I'm not sure this is really true of Bosque. He is obviously a very good and intelligent manager. However, he has also been very lucky to have some of the world's greatest players at his disposal, and in neither of his masterworks were squads constructed as the result of great team building. At Real he was the coach who worked with the Galaticos who were picked by the President. With Spain he inherited the reigning European champions who had adopted under Arragones a variant of the Barcelona method and did little more than tweak the winning formula.

He has proved himself to be tactically intelligent and good at fostering team spirit. His qualities combined with presiding over two of the greatest squads ever have brought some great results. I believe a number of other managers of his generation would have matched them.

certainly one of the greats now, he has to be considered so

I'll give Del Bosque his dues, he has remained Real Madrids longest serving manager in the last 25 years. The man has a way about him that makes players with big egos comfortable to play to their best levels.
If Spain win the next World Cup in Brazil then there is no argument about it.

Capell''s club record.... ^

Capello got smart at Milan. He inehirtated a great team that Sacchi developed. He was more defensive then Sacchi as he did not have the luxury of having all three DUTCH MASTERS at the same time.

Capello's Milan were more workmanlike then Sacchis great pressing team,

*Capello

At Madrid it was a case of carrying on the ultra defensive tactics that were certainly not the flavour of the masses.
I'm not disputing Capello as a great manager, he's right up there, but with his approach to football I'd have to say there are better managers in the game past and present.
