OK I do rate Lampard in some aspects, but as an overall footballer I'm not sure. He always seems to struggle at international level.

Also RvP is clearly far superior to Torres at the moment. A Torres in his prime maybe, but RvP is a much better all-round footballer.

Agree about Lampard. I used hate him but for a limited footballer he has certainly made the most of his talents and turned out a fine player. You would rather Torres to RVP

A lot of players struggle at international level though but even in saying that lamps scoring record for liverpool is still very impressive .

And hmm i'm not sure RVPs just too injury prone for me, and anyone can score goals playing as a striker for Arsenal as the amount of chances you manage to create is staggering, I just think Torres is the better all-round player, two years ago it would have been a foregone conclusion but obviously its now up for debate due to RVP having a great season last year, we'll just have to see this season how Torres does wih some decent service, then we'll debate again at the end of the season

Mata one of the reasons why Chelsea did worse? Are you kidding? Double figures in goals and assists in his first PL season, the guy was brilliant. He was the only player to perform consistently well under both AVB and RDM.

Also Arsenal haven't finished below 4th for 16 years now Sandy, and out of our players only RvP is really world class

He failed to score in about 90% of his games. He wasn't quality for what you'd expect him to be doing (i.e. scoring). Other players could've done what Torres did, e.g. Kalou.

Torres will come back this season as the main striker and score goals. I'm sure of it.

I'll admit his form for Spain made him look promising (although Gervinho would look like Messi in that team), and I'm sure he'll improve his for this season, but at the moment there is no comparison with RVP to even be mentioned.
