Yes CS, there is certainly lost of power in her game. But her style has more guts than Rafa. She goes for winners...though she is so big she has no choice cause she certainly is not athletic enough to win over the distance.

Sophia Loren is/was my favourite actress....but I never saw the resemblance...with Venus, sorry!

I think Venus has certainly a nicer body but face wise Serena is cuter according to my taste but I would like to know what teh other boys think here.

Anyway Azarenka was really using gamesmanshp and it makes her losing easier to accept.

never heard anyone complain about the power sharapover plays with, don't know why you singling out serena. Serena is just playing to the best of her strength, she is not the most mobile player out there and it makes comon sense to adapt your game to suit your best ability.

I would be backing up Serena v Sharapova.

Sharapova is another I can easily asociate with a KGB agent able to murder cold bloodedly....and then will also come up with that little soft charming voice of a pre-puber girl to explain she had to kill her naughty opponent.

Look tennis is about winning and I understand that. I just don't buy this little want-to-charm-you voice they come up with after a war on the court.

I agree with the testosterone bit, which is sad, and weird.
Gone are the days of craft and guile, tennis is changing, women are "growing" and so is the power and speed of their shots.
Still, Serena is a phenomenal warrior and provides plenty of entertainment.

Personally, I can't stand the new wave of screaming baseline bashers, with women there seems to be nothing in -between.
They are predominately top-heavy and looking like bruisers when dressed in normal clothes....

The players with all the variety in the womens game get clouted out the way by the one dimensional big hitters- its a shame.

But thats not too different than the mens game. Murray is by far the most crafty at the top of the mens game, but players like Nadal are the ones with the majors, and his game is as one dimensional as it comes.

Here's a question for all you men here:

do you watch women's tennis because of women's looks or their actual game?
I know it can be mixed up, a bit of everything, but I've always had a suspicion that men don't care about women's tennis at all.
As for me, I could happily exist without it. I only watch it as a habit now and then, when there's no men's tennis on.
And once I get drawn into a match (which is not that difficult ) I am even able to shut out the noise...
I suppose I'd never pay to go and watch a woman's match.
