Never heard of him.

No I acknowledge we're a bit off the top four yet, but Ramirez is a very promising young player and it would be a good sign of ambition for the club and the manager for the summer ahead.

It may be difficult for him to settle, but if he does indeed sign we will have three Uruguayan players in our squad. I'm sure Suarez and Coates will help him to settle in to the place itself. In terms of the football then it is slightly quicker and more intense than 'Serie A' but different players settle differently.

Good player

Gaston 'Kaiser Soze' Ramirez must be good because he's foreign. Nobody has seen him, but he has an exotic name and is South American, therefore he must be dogs ballacks.

Come on, it's a ja606 fundamental that Johnny Foreigner > Johnny Angleterre

I know he can play in the whole and on the wings!

That is all!

in the whole or hole?

Paisley i agree, i had a discussion with a chelsae the other week about their interest in hulk. They (just like oyr fans with ramirez) were declaring this guy as the icing on the cake. My point was that they probably had only seen him play in the flesh a couple of times in the champs league against english opposition.

All teams have these fans. There are united fans chomping at the bit for them to sign some striker called strootman (dutch i presume). I've never heard of him. And just to show im not being anti united we all know about the hula baloo on this board over arda turan ocdr the last couple of years.

Two many people on here base their opinions on players on you tube vids and how cool a players name sounds. Its a good indication of the average age of postsr in here!!

Who has said he's the "final piece" of the jig saw?

"I have seen plenty if our fans declare that this guy is the "final piece of the jigsaw""

----------------------

I haven't seen a single person say this.

Depends what the final piece is for? Winning the league or finishing 4th?

OP I think you're confusing YOU not knowing anything about him and everybody not nothing anything about him. However I agree with the rest of your article.

I haven't come across anyone saying that he is all we needed.

It's right to be optimistic about a young talent, and mind it, he is one of the best talents available, but he is no way the final piece to our Jigsaw.

If we are able to sign Messi and Ronaldo, that will be the final piece, for sure!

Good Morning good people!

I have seen plenty if our fans declare that this guy is the "final piece of the jigsaw", the guy that will fire us back into the top 4, etc. I think we need to calm down a bit.

Not see anyone say that. Brendan has only just got the pieces out of the box and found some of them are missing.

He'll add some much needed flair to that right-hand side. Thats about it...thats how much i know about him.

12mil seems alot but i thought 24mil was abit too much for Suarez

You never really have the final piece, its about using thd talents you have wisely. For example, spain hd d villa injured and decided to play without a striker and utilise the midfield players they had.

Maybe br can utilise JCole, AAqua and Sterling, susu more effectively than kd and all of a sudden we appear to have "a few missing pieces" ourselves.

The post and the Echo are reporting that whilst the club have scouted Ramirez over the last 18 months, we aren't and won't be looking to sign him.

http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-fc/liverpool-fc-news/2012/07/09/gaston-ramirez-to-liverpool-fc-rumours-wide-of-the-mark-100252-31352262/

I'm getting a bit concerned about the lack of movement to be honest. I know that the window has only been open 9 days but with other clubs already having signed a couple of really good players. It's worrying that we seem to be just trundling along with little or no signs of squad improvement!

Suso must play some part he's been very classy for the Snish U-19's

I would certainly be more inclined to believe what is printed in The Echo, but the media being in the dark about potential signings is the way most Liverpool fans want it, isn't it?

^^^

Absolutely.

I'm not in the least bit bothered about the perceived lack of movement.

I'll be quite happy to just turn the tv on one day and see a player that no-one has mentioned in the press holding up the new LFC shirt...........

I wouldn't believe anything in the Echo either. Just as bad as the rest of them.(when it comes to football rumours)

Mind you, the echo also claimed that Rodgers was not on the radar

one week later, we were being rejected

two weeks later, he was appointed

Only the Echo
