in my opinion graham roberts acts like he knows way more than he actually does.

that is my opinion though.

Roberts - legend

Just listening to the bit about Ade - I share exactly the same concerns.

What's the concerns on ade?

messia - that he plays well when he's looking for a contract or just moved to a club and is motivated to show his best stuff, otherwise he dips. I think we all saw some of that last season (?) but my hope is that with a bit of rotation he will be motivated to do his best, always, as he obviously loves the game

Very interesting about VDV. I've been very critical of him (compared to many on here) but it sounds like he wants to stay. If he/the coaching team can also manage him (and his ego) being rotated and subbed then (as I always say, because I love the guy - I think he's a genius) I simply cannot wait to be proved wrong on this one

I love these interviews, many thanks for posting BAAALE x 3

The concern is that now he has a permanent contract and guaranteed money in the bank, he'll tail off and not perform as well as he did last season when he had a point to prove.

Mark Viduka

I've thought this about him too lets hope he doesn't especially wit the wages he's gonna be on I expect full effort I'm sure levy and AVB will too

Beat me to it kimchi haha. Thanks for the thanks

And just to chip in with my point of view. I will be pretty happy with VDV and Moutinho (obviously instead of Modric) on or books come September 1st

posted on 14/7/12

Roberts does a lot of things for the club and also spends alot of time at Stevenage town

Im sure he knows what he is talking about

Nothing new here though, we know Modders will go if the price is right and VDV will go if AVB does not wnat him

Yes, VDV and Moutinho will do very nicely I think. Graham Roberts - what a player he was for us. If I remember rightly, didn't we get him from non league Weymouth and he went straight into the first team? A very tough player never pulled out of a challenge! Legend

Roberts don't seem to keen on BAE.

he thinks spurs should go out and sign a left back this summer.

i like Ekotto and we also have Fryers, and Verty can play there. not a position i worry about

Lady - I was only a nipper at the time of the glory of the two FA cups and then UEFA (don't really remember them but they made me a Tottenham fan) but despite all the amazing players leaving around that time for some reason that was the one I was most upset about

Hard as effin nails that guy, what a hero

I would play vertonghen there and kaboul and caulker at C/B

posted on 14/7/12

Vertonghen won player of the year in Holland, Central is his best position, i see no reason to play him anywhere but amongside Kaboul, unless injuries permit

posted on 14/7/12

There is no doubt to me that while he CAN cover left back, Verty has been brought in as number 1 CB for the future (along with Kaboul, if we can keep him beyond this year).

Have I got things a bit wrong here chaps (and chapesses)?

What I got from Roberts is that we need more cover for LB, not necessarily someone to replace Natty Dread.

No point signing a supposed top cb and play him left back

That's just silly. Especially when we have a good left back as it is

nah, i reckon he didnt rate benny.

re rafa, i reckon he wants to go back to hamburg but they cant afford him.

So according to graham roberts if we dont sell modric to real, we are gona sell to utd.

Now i do fully expect modric to leave but up til now ive been convinced that levy would only sell abroad. i for one will be most upset with levy if he sells to utd. watching modric pull the strings for that lot next season would b orrible!!

posted on 14/7/12

Buzzy - there will no doubt be a lot of 'lost in translation/chinese whispers' type stuff in amongst all that insight. No way Modric will go to Utd for me.

Hope you are right....
