As a kid, i lived in a flat over Dr Chibbers surgery in East Prescot Rd. I went to St. Oswalds and to the"Curzon" and "Regent" cinemas with my parents. Waterwoths and Blackledges were shops adjoining the surgery and there was a great Chippie a couple of doors away. On a Friday Tea Time, i used to take all the "Big" Newspapers from the Doctors surgery(my mum cleaned for him) down to the chippy and in return, he would give me fish and chips for three.
Great memories.
