I missed it mate but I heard a phone-in a while back and similar-minded callers were speaking 'on behalf' of us fans. It's annoying but these people are always going to shout loudest.
Us reasonable fans understand the situation and whilst we might not be happy about it, we know that simply getting rid of the board isn't the answer.
I'm glad I missed it to be honest. It would have only wound me up

I think what I was getting at was that there is a degree of cloak and dagger about the clubs sale that could be solved by being a bit more transparent. This would help quell the conspiracy/train set theories. This surely is the thing to ask questions about, not 'where is the money' we clearly do not have.
I'll consider my legs smacked
The new owner would have to drop in something like £250 million?
For that he would draw down some debt...something for the transfer.... and build a new stadium.
Seeing as the conservative estimated debt is £45 million(?),the cost of decent players. What quality of stadium would you envisage us getting with the remainding monies?
Hmmm, don't know if I agree with that bit Canard. The difference between £50M and £100M is very significant, even when you factor in the other required expenditure.
However, as you've said many times, there can't possibly be an asking price until Bill knows what he's selling. Are potential new investors after Bill's shares? Or other people's? Or both? In the case of the latter two, it's not even up to BK.
A serious investor would sit down with our board and ask the questions of what is for sale, and for how much. As far as we are aware this hasn't happened. The only thing BK can do is make the club as attractive a proposition as he can. That means reducing debt, like he's doing, and keeping the club competing at the top, like he's doing.
After all that you can understand how frustrating it is to hear the words ''BK out''.
To lighten the mood here's a. Nice picture of Don Cheadle

Jesus Christ, what's going on?!
Eastlands built in it`s present state from scratch for less than £150 million? Very much doubt that, can you show the figures,or even better a link to show build costs.
Mandela Stadium?
How much do you think South African labour costs are as opposed to labour costs in England?
Stop ruining my sensible article
Sorry.
Peace?

On a non don Cheadle related note does anyone recon talk sport choosing Everton fan unrest as a subject was the result of peeps kicking off at the Echo?. If so it worked to be fair to 'em.
I think it was a wasted opportunity also but for different reasons. Ian Ross and the usual club spin and not one searching question asked by Brazil or Quinn. The thing this morning was a follow on from last night when the peoples group were on.
Whether or not this leads anywhere we shall see but at least the club is now aware a lot of fans are unhappy. It is all too cosy for the board bout time they had pressure put on. Maybe now they will finally act.
Agreed, I think we can all now see the only way forward is to make the club as attractive a proposition as possible in order to convince Don Cheadle to invest and buy a controlling stake in the club.
'Mandela Stadium?
How much do you think South African labour costs are as opposed to labour costs in England?'
Yeah, because they'll not be employing Eastern European workers on the job if it happens....
I'm not disagreeing with awd1878 here, but I was under the impression that the board have been aware for some time that there are unhappy fans.
But because to date, it's all just been talk by a minority, the board haven't been forced to act or react.
Every club has sections of fans who will disagree with their board's stance. I'm not saying I agree with our board either, far from it, but these sections of fans aren't doing enough to get themselves heard. And when they do pipe up, they're so focused on the BK witch hunt, they're not doing themselves any favours. They're also either quoting out-dated figures or just plucking them out of thin air.
But when someone points this out to them, they jump on their backs and start a slanging match.
It's getting boring.
Yup like the fans this morning..
Where is the sky money?
Where is the PL money?
Etc etc, well it's mostly going on the players wages as the accounts show. They really don't help the call for change.
Agree some fans are a joke. I have heard banners are being produced but then we have heard this before. There are a lot of unanswered questions though. I think more pressure should be put on Granchester and the others for all Kenwright's faults and there are many he does get unfair amount of abuse. The rest of board are probably more at fault
Just listened to the interview, thanks for the link.
Am i alone in thinking the figures Ian Ross gave out re wages will put us in a serious situation eventually.
85 pence out of every £ coming in goes to the players?
Is this sustainable?

Charred,
Can you give me an example of a nicely fitted out 48k stadium built for £150-160 million please.
