Its the start of Ramadan. The had to do business quickly. Surely its only a temporary appointment?
Will Wolves sell Pep to another championship club?
Perhaps their new manager has plans for him?
Brilliant appointment ... very happy with it. Never thought it was an option tbh, but hopefully, given the funds, he'll shine. Interesting to see rumours on twitter that he was responsible for signing Pep and George last season!
On a side note, Forest really are the only team in the country who would pay compensation for someone they employed 2 months ago
Paying compo for someone who was on the payroll eight weeks ago? Thats Mark Arthur that is - but I'll forgive him just this once; money well spent.
<laugh. Hoons I was thinking exactly the same thing. I'm starting to fear that Crawley might do us for tapping him up, considering the owner was adamant Driscoll wasn't leaving and apparently had no knowledge of any talks! Agent Paladini?
I think Crawley owners 'wished hIm well'. don't think they'll sue or 'owt.
They did? I was just going off this:

Either way, glad to see him back.

Silky...worked with many Muslims during Ramadan and they all just got on with it. Don't understand your point at all.
Just glad we've got someone
I've heard that SOD never signed a contract with Crawley which means no compensation and no need to worry about tapping up.
When I say I've heard, I mean "I've read it somewhere"...
Odball. Just repeaing what has been said by several contributors to TalkSport this morning. No offence meant.
Hi Silky...no offence taken mate. I just don’t understand where some of these commentators are coming from. No drink and no food between sunset and sunrise. Most Muslims I’ve worked with find the first week hard then just get on with it.
It doesn’t stop them from getting on with their business or work.
Red for 50 years, glad your feeling better now considering your doom and gloom from earlier this week.
Continuity is important. My concern is that the al Hasawi's made this appointment for the right reasons and not because they're skint, or because everyone else turned the job down. It's interesting that the spin about SoD being the key influence behind Guedioura being brought in on loan has wormed it's way out. It's totally unfair to credit SoD for Cotterill's good work, but yet somehow convenient for the club to perpetuate this now. I'm fully behind SoD. I like him, and I like the idea of giving someone relatively unproven at this level an opportunity. I think the Al Hasawi's still have to make a statement of intent though because without serious investment in the squad we'll struggle next year.

the reality is that until something is done about it, we are still up to our necks in faeces.
the owners still need to spend millions for us even to put a side out, there are no positives in having to field a central defensive pairing of moussi and mcgoldrick.
Don't let the facts get in the way of you having an opinion Spartacus.

O'Driscoll joined Forest on 19th Jan, Guedioura signed on 30th Jan. If it's true it didn't take SoD long to see what we needed. I assume Cotterill was waiting for deadline day for a particular reason. Not sure what!?
