The kid has phenomenal dribbling ability.

That`s that one flocked then!

Let's be honest. Nobody has a clue what's going on.

One day it was Modric. Then Baines. Then Moura. Then Van Persie. Now Both.

Our club is usually the best at keeping it's cards close to it's chest as it were.

He is in England for the olympics, so it could make things a little easier? We don't get held to randsom though, and if it is around 30m we have bid, I think that's a more than fair offer.

posted on 20/7/12

No way we`ll spend £50m on him. I reckon, if Fergie is a s serious as he seems, he`ll go back in and offer 30-35+ add ons and tell them to get bent if they won`t accept that.

He will never compete with Messi, doubtful Ronaldo.

But he will still be a very good player

Their holding us to ransom..he will probably end up at inter as we're not psg city real or chelsea and pay silly money

A bit early to say that.

He wont end up at Inter. They are broke and can't even offer champions league football. If he moves it will be to us. The story on Sky Sports, although reported today, is actually a few days old. The same thing was reported in the Brazilian press and various other places about 2 - 3 days ago. The latest is that we have met with his parents and they/lucas are willing to accept a lower fee for their part of his ownership, therefore meaning Sao Paulo are more likely to accept the offer.

Inter have less money than we do.

Is this Oscar lad better than lucas? Apparently he will start ahead of him tonight. Never heard of him until chelsea were in for him tbh

Apparently, Bob Cass (mail on sunday journo) has had a sit down with SAF today (he's in South Africa with the squad), during which Fergie confirmed that he is trying to sign Lucas, Baines and Van Persie but will not pay over the odds for any of them.

posted on 20/7/12

Simply put, we will not sign anybody.

They play in different positions so it's not that Oscar starts "ahead" of Lucas more that Oscar plays in CM and Lucas doesn't.

Which begs the question why did we not approach about signing Oscar who is a CM which is what we need not another winger.

I don`t believe that for a second. Fergie and United never spill the beans on transfer targets.

what about eden hazard, we had a bid of 32 million accepted and for lucas moura we have bidded 27 million. We can still offer 5 million more.

posted on 20/7/12

I've never seen him play but the article I read about him recently portrayed him as more of an attacking midfielder / trequartista than a central midfielder. I.e. a comparable player to Kagawa.

To be honest I don't care if you believe it or not, I'm just repreating what was said. Thinking about it though, there may be some truth to it. We have obviously bid for Van Persie and Moura and have had both bids turned down. Fergie maybe wants to get something out there that he won't be held to ransom for these players to force the clubs to accept our offers.

Your point there is very valid. That`s why i think this one could be a goer. As i said previously, i think we`ll go back in and offer 30-35+ add ons. Anything more and i think Sir Alex will tell them to bike it.

Because Hazard is not some unproven kid that hasn't played in Europe.

I'd much prefer we got Hazard to this lad, sure he looks talented but i can just see a whole season of frustration ahead if we got him.

Apparently his decision making is terrible, he never knows when to pass, dribbles himself into trouble and then tries to get out of it.

Not sure i want that at Utd, but if Fergie does then we must go with it.

No need to get monty about it. I just find it difficult to believe considering how closely Sir Alex guards things like this usually

wasn't this the sort of things that were being said about young c.ronaldo? He'll improve his decision making just like c.ronaldo did.

VCD, Lucas has done it for Brazil, Hazard hasn't done it for Belgium.

The has obvious talents, it isn't his fault be was born in Brazil not Europe.

Does seem an awful lot of money though. Imagine we sign RVP AND Lucas, I'd be so excited.

Yes it was but I think he's not what we need, he's a winger.
