Junction - Yes BR was appointed before Harry went, I reckon Levy had his targets in mind since Capello went from England and everyone assumed Harry would get the call he'd been after.

this could go either way.. title winners or relegated

Via someone well connected who's a regular on the spurs podcast and called the capello walk out before it happened plus problems with harry long before they arose. It is also said that Redknapp may have been sacked to do with something involving the proposed Modric transfer. Not sure what as he didn't say.

wtf? what would that be?

I know intriguing. Got me wondering if you look at Portsmouth's plight whether Harry was up to his old tricks!

well think we all know that was harry not keeping his mouth shut again

Levy said ONCE and ONCE only that Modric was not for sale

Every time Chelsea made an offer , Harry would say 22 Million for Luka, hes worth more than that etc etc etc

didn't you find it strange that harry was sacked the day after rdm was appointed at chelsea. As if levy was shutting the door completely on any future big job.

Yeah but this is suggesting he was gonna get a cut from the agent or something or am I completely losing the plot now

I think his signing was a opportunity to go for one of Europe's up and comers.

If we wanted him last year it would have cost 15 million euros, now he is free. It's a gamble but I cannot see why we would have got rid of HR, our most successful manager, if we were not going after Levy's first choice.

Nothing. He was out of contract

We were going after Levy's first choice. It was Rodgers but I think AVB was on the radar and must have really impressed in the interview. He fancies himself a bit so you can see how someone like Darth would take a shine to him.

so rodgers was appointed by us, and then left us for liverpool ? i dont believe that for minute.

i can believe that we would have got rodgers if he handt already signed for liverpool, but not that he actually left us for them. no chance.

Sheriff - '3rd best' that you were delighted with this time last year. We'll be fine with AVB - not half as many drama queens to deal with as in the Chelsea dressing room, and we'll take great pleasure in watching them eat our dust with the manager their owner didn't have the guts to support.

So AVB is good now according to Spurs fans?

posted on 25/7/12

Not saying I believe it either. Just putting it out there as a talking point. I would have preferred Rodgers but we'll see how it pans out. And if he's paying £15m for Allen surely Kenny's still picking the team. Rather Gylfi at £8m, 1 goal, 1 assist already.
