Id be gutted if he left ala Pogba, with Pogba, yes great potential, but he only did it when he really wanted to, with Petrucci, he just oozes class, even more impressive after missing so much football the last 2 or 3 years, id be so sad to see him leave without getting a chance in the first team.
I would like to see him get a chance. But my real fear is that we won't sign a central midfielder but also won't give Petrucci as many chances as he maybe should get.

Have any of you noticed that Fergie rarely mentions him when talking about our youngsters, always seems to mention Lingard, Tunni and Brady, is he just trying to keep him under the spotlight..?
Pogba probably wasn't used because Sir Alex knew ahead of time (or us supporters) that Pogba was most likely off. If Petrucci has signed a contract then i'm sure he'll get league cup games to prove his worth.
I think we'll definitely see the likes of Petrucci, Tunnicliffe, Lingard, Cole,Michael Keane and maybe Vermijl get more chances for the first team this season or go out on loan.
They won everything there is to win at reserve level last season. The next step is to either go out on loan or make the step up to the first team and hopefully one or two will do so.

I haven't heard anything about Petrucci signing a new 3 year deal.
The last I heard was what Sky Italia reported about 6 weeks ago but there's been nothing official I don't think.
I would imagine though that he's already signed or very close to signing a new deal and that the club just haven't announced it yet. I don't think there's any danger of him doing a Pogba.
