What concerns me is that Cooper said that the new owners wanted to keep Snoddy.

One wonders how the deal has gone down with them.

I'm sure there is a take over on the cards But due to the time being taken & the lack of even a snippet of news unsure wether it will actually go thru but then again oh I dunno, it all just too much for us to take on as we have had to put up with the moron for way too long we never know whatto believe.

trying to be patient but it is getting harder each week

He wants Prem football now and is not prepared to wait and see if we get promoted.

How difficult is that to understand?

If's and maybe's are no good to a footballer who has a limited shelf life. He might have had a poor season with Leeds, got injured, we stay down and he's missed his one chance of playing in the best league in the World.

There IS a takeover going on. Even Bates could not pull that much of a flanker! I know who the agent is who trying to broker the deal and I know NW was ready to walk out before he got assurances that he would have money to spend on players.

Stoopo - he had a year left on his contract - we were not obliged to sell.
Why cash in when you think you are assembling a promotion winning side OR when money will not be an issue anymore?

Money talks and be it Premiership or Leeds with wealthy backers there is not difference. If a player is on the same wage at Leeds as he is at Norwich who do you think he will play for?

In terms of assurances to Warnock, Bates was bound to give these to keep him.
And spending on players, for me we must have got £2M for Snodgrass and we havent spent £2M on incoming players so there hasnt been any money on players and in fact we will be down on money if and when Macca goes!!!!

We've spent about 1.2 mill on players and received approx 3.7 mill from sales, so plenty of scope for more signings or some hotel foundations.

Young White - if he wants to go then let him. We would not have got the best out of him if we had made him stay... and £3m for someone of his ability is too good to turn down. He's good in this league but does he have the quality for the Prem? Time will tell.

do the players you have sold / got rid of match the same wages to those you have brought in.

Footballers earn a lot.

Your takeover compared to Forest does seem to be taking some time to complete. Also, Forest fans got wind of who it was where as you guys are still guessing.

I'm not saying it isn't but I would of thought Bates would be jumping through hoops to get the deal done

The assurances NW got were not from Bates!

How much have our wages gone up by though - we are now paying all the new faces and all the deadwood.
Should think these new players are probably our top earners now considering from where they came from!

Webbo - Bates is trying to hang onto the Chairman's job and has been awkward to say the least.

Did anyone really think it would be easy to unravel the complexities of LUFC and Bates?

Nothing I have seen so far backs a takeover.
If I was wanting to take over the club one of the statements I would make would be dont sell your better players until I have taken over as you are weakening the club and profiting on my potential investment.

'Here's £80m Ken. I trust you so where do I sign?'

I don't know enough about Bates. Just know most people whether they be Leeds, Chelsea or any other football fan, don't like him.

I don't think it is fair though keeping you all hanging on. You would think something would of been said in the past week. From what I have read on here and looked for, it has all gone quiet

Mattyp- oh yes Warnock has met the new owners, could this be the ones Bates has employed just for such a cover story?

hunwick,

Any monies - in or out - will be subject to agreement by both parties. Bates will not be profiting from the sales unless the takeover falls through.

Are you saying all functions/income streams at ER should be stopped as well? Surely that money should go into the new owners pot? Or maybe the income received will go towards the day to day running of the club/players wages etc?

Now that is silly! Next we'll be blaming the News of the World for supplying a fake Sheik!

YW - if it's the same guy then by all reports he has backers this time.

Time to wait and hope I guess.

Ah yes the same sheikh that when asked show us your money was never seen again!!

This time he has some backers that just happen to be a lot more reliable

Yes mate - but the length of time its taking is what happened last time!

Obviously they have done a runner and we are trying to find them, this is what is taking the time?

Maybe we should ask Rupert Murdoch where they are
