If Capello took us to the Euros...
- Welbeck, Walcott and Oxlaide-Chamberlain would never have gone and instead we would've taken a squad riddled with injuries.
- We wouldn't have made it out of the group and if we did, we wouldn't have held Spain or Italy to penalties.
- We wouldn't have seen the spirit and determination that we saw under Hodgson.
I certainly agree with your point Re: The Ox and Welbeck but Walcott would've gone.
Although arguably, given Englands injuries at the time, would a better squad have been available?
Remember there was no Barry, Defoe, Lampard, Cahill +...
The only real "omission" was Rio from Roy's squad
