Wait that made no sense but since the words Free Luka are in the post i'll let it stand
read between the lines haha
might sound silly but what does this actually mean.
Do they now have to sell him?
Does this open a clause in his contract?
it means nothing other than they have an unhappy player who really doesnt want to be there
doesnt really make any difference to levy's thinking tbh hes probably more angry now so will do even more to block his move to chelsea
the only bright part is that modric wants to join chelsea, if hes so unhappy they will probably decide its best to sell for as much as they can, city will no doubt be sniffing around but he wants to join us so hopefully if they do sell its to us
no they dont need 2 sell him but who want to keep unsettle player who can distrup other players in cabin.as i said before roman play with levy.we all know modric value is 30 mil so roman or his adviser does.first move was public offer to 22 mil.of course it was all discus with modric rep.then 27 mil and i can see in next few day modric leave totenham team from south africa and new offer around 30 mil what will levy eventulay accept.that was a plan from begening.bet my word
IMO we'll end up getting him for around £35 million after Spurs return from their Asian tour
If he has handed in a transfer request I think it'll have shown Spurs that there is no chance of keeping hold of him and having him perform to the best of his ability
Let's face it, this changes very little other than the fact Modric has now used up all his weapons in an attempt to join us.
In reality,he handed in a transfer request the same day he gave the first interview to the newspapers about wanting to join Chelsea.
It's in Levy's hands now and so far he has been very clear about his intentions.
Chelsea may now try one more bid at around the 35m mark, but if Spurs say no to that, then that will be the end of it, at least until January.

My comment was so good, I thought I i would post it twice
It makes a difference in the sense that his desire for the move is now on official record, doesn't make a huge deal of difference to a proposed transfer. His only play left would be to buy his own contract out which could get messy - remember this is Levy we're talking about.
You sort of get the impression this has gone beyond a player wanting to join another club, i think Modric would happily return to Dinamo if it meant getting away from Levy at this point.
