The Spartack pitch was pretty good Brum but I do think it gives an advantage to the team that play on it regularly.
That said, it was the extra bounce from the plastic pitch that took Pavlyuchenko's header sitter over the bar.
Playing on lava is nothing when youve spent your youth playing on red ash.

Shouldn't be too much of a problem these days, they have the pitches at lennoxtown etc
Might help us considering the pitch will be in decent nick and not all cut up etc
The damage should be done at home, anyways...and is why for once, I'm glad we're at home first
Think footwear is always the problem more than the bounce nowadays!!!
Some pitches allow you to wear the moulded boots, whilst others require trainers.
The amount of players you see changing their boots in the first half hour of a game is madness!!!
Less slide tackles on artificial pitches too
We should be too strong for them. Get behind the bhoys tomorrow night.

Picking chunks of ash out of your cuts at the end of the day. The 30mins of one eyed blindness after you head the ball. Great stuff.
The little black rubber chips/balls get fackin everywher and my knees are constantly burnt from slide tackling on it. Also if its raining the chips get stuck to ball and when you header it they go in yer facking eyes. Pain in the erchie.

Still picking ash out of my legs 40 years on. The temporary blindness came from the lime they used to line the pitch.
Great times, todays youngsters would never understand.
Rogne has a heid like a ten bob bit. When he attacks the ball at corners it goes aff his heid like hes trying clear it oot the staduim.
In the MON era we used to celebrate corners like they were penalties because we were particularly handy in the air. I remember thinking we rely too much on set pieces at the time. Silly bhoy
HJK are gonnae throttle yees!
i never found switching from surface to surface to be that big of a deal tbh
