If we were to sign Dempsey, Allen and Ramirez I would be absolutely over the moon.
It's fans being unpatient, which is understandable.
Quality signings are those that come in and do well and improve the team. Doesn't matter if its a big name or not.
all i can say is borini is a risk but one worth taking.
nobody esle has arrived so its all speculation.
we've a young squad with a lot of underage talent that will either get a chance or not under rodgers... i think the real measure of rodgers will be can he pull a shankely and promote two players like hunt and callaghen out of our current reserve pool and then find 2/3 really good players like shanks did in yeats and st john. If we can sign two relative unknowns who are brilliant great.
those 4 players mentioned made it for shanks really he got off to a great start with the... that's quality signings IMO.
Rodgers has a lot to work with IMO and its down to him to get the best out of what he's got then mix in the right guys from outside.
I would not be happy if we had signed Podolski, just don't rate the guy.
South Wales papers reporting Allen is pretty much done, very happy about this, Ramirez would be a cherry on top.
Then there is rumours of this world class signing?
Having watched him at the Olympics - i'm sure that Ramirez would be a hit
My views mirror this, what is good, is the insistence on hard working AND technical players.
We have in the past had either one or the other.
Would you rather Messi or Borini?
Theres obvious quality at the top end of the market...
Your article can be looked at either way.
Why has Allen not been snapped up by someone else at this stage? If hes sooooo good
Why has Allen not been snapped up by someone else at this stage? If hes sooooo good
Why hasn't
Ramirez
Neymar
and countless other talents, don't rate a player by who he plays for.
Podolski scored 18 goals last season 14 goals the season before while playing in the left side attacking role so thats hardly shocking club form. I think he will do well at Arsenal and get them enough goals and assists.
Giroud was top scorer in France while Chamack never was so not really a good comparison.
Theres been a fair amount of interest in Allen, thats why Liverpool felt the need to bid despite the agreement carp.
He has a big contract there and was happy at Swansea under BR, so unless a big club felt activated the 15m clause he was going nowhere. Which they might of done if BR still been at Swansea as there is interest and the window is long.
Does Rodgers know anyone other than ex Swansea players? This is Liverpool... huge difference im sure hes aware
Am i the only one who doesn't rate Ramirez, yes he can strike a free-kick but i have seen him four or five times now and he's average.
Anfield of Dreams
I'd argue Swansea were better than us last season.
yuod all rather see us chase players like Hazard and Podolski...so PLEASE stop the bullsh-t

I would have liked Hazard and Mata, but Podolski, no.

TBH he did not impress me in the olympics but neither did Suarez or Cavani.

On aggregate they beat us 1-0 last season and outplayed us.
They also outplayed most of the league.
Allen got a better passing accuracy rate than all but 5 players in EUROPE.
You're a deluded idiot if you think Liverpool were much better than Swansea last season.
our standards are dropping, its obvious to anyone not filled with delusion
Fred...
Where did i say Liverpool were MUCH better?
We got to 2 cup finals and finsihed above Swansea, your statement is yet again bordering on the bizarre
