let's face it, most of finn's test wickets have been from long hops. if tremlett can get a couple of years' fitness he could be the best bowler in the world imo. finn looks to me like a county pie chucker in comparison.
Lets remenber Finn is 23. He is an outstanding talent.
re KP, I wouldnt be surprised if he doesnt play at Lords. I also wouldnt be surprised if he's playing all 3 forms of the game for england again by next year.
finn is a gd talent no doubt, but right now he needs to spend more time in county and one days. give the experianced guys more chances ie onions and tremlett.
i hv a feeling it would be to englands benefit if they lose the no1 rankings. it just adds unneccasary pressure and its showing on their performance. they need dat hunger back, which i feel is lost on their faces.
So England hit a sticky patch and out come all the Bresnan Bashers again!
England took 2 wickets in the 1st test...just 2! and Bresnan took one of those. So where were all the other England bowlers?
Sure he is having a poor run with the bat, but he's hardly alone there. Before this series his performances had been good so lets give him a little more time guys.
thats the point bitter. when ur main guns(broad, anderson, and swann) stop taking wickets(which they have from the past 3 years), then no one is capable of raisning their hands and pick up a fiver or even 4 wicket.
You seem to be expecting anderson and broad to always come out with a 4 wicket haul? and the rest just chip in with 1 or 2?
When India's zaheer khan failed, England and australia happened. same situation here.
If KP quits Tests before Lord's, he will end his career being Man of the Match in his last match of all formats (Test, ODI, T20I).
interesting stat
he's not going to quit before lords though. he might quit after lords. he might get dropped before lords. either way i dont think it means it has to be the end of his international career though
re bresnan. he does chip in with wickets. i think people are underestimating him as a bowler, or overestimating our other options.
I've read this morning that of KP's big issues is a fake twitter account set up under his name, seems he feels with the inside knowledge on it that it has to be one or two of his England team mates. Good twitter account to read funnily enough.... @kevpietersen24. Worth looking at.
Not a single one of you knows any details of any problem or dispute between the ECB or KP.
Irrespective of if we need or dont need KP, we do not know any of the issues, yet still manage to condemn either KP or the ECb for the supposed actions.
Its ridiculous, no wonder the pathetic media in this country makes so much money
BWFC... In his press conference KP outlined some of the points to this saga, some of the points, which have been circulating in the media. So, nobody is making anything up.
As mentioned above, it seems that a fake Twitter account was made in his name, something, which he believes was created by his England team-mates. Now clearly a problem has been created there aswell.
Unless, the ECB has said they are going to shoot KP, I'm wondering what the "Main points" to this saga is because it seems we don't know all of it.
"Note to ex-pros. Make sure you're better than KP before you have a pop. Which means unless you're Don Bradman, keep your mouth shut."
People who say Test cricket is the pinnacle haven't played IPL in front 80,000, slapping Indian medium pacers about at a 141% strike rate."

Tweets from the fake KP account, pretty funny, but he never saw the funny side. Or, shall I say his ego never saw the funny side of it.
Maybe you should start grooming your own players and stop poaching so many south Africans.
Fash since your clearly not English, maybe you should should support a football team from your own country.
Some people on these boards are pathetic.
Regarding the grooming comment, you clearly don't follow the game. Stokes, Ashraf, Topley, Harris, Woakes, Gregory, Vince, Bairstow, Rafiq, Borthwick, Kerrigan, Root, Mills, Buttler, Finn, Taylor are all rather promusing young English players who the ECB have spent a lot of time grooming.
All if these lads are English. I must sincerely apologise that Stokes and Rafiq were born overseas but raised in England. One thing I love about our country is we are cosmapolitan.
i would be up in arms if i thought england (or any other country) was actively trying to recruit any players from overseas, but that has not been the case with pitersen or with anyone else. in fact the ecb have tightened up eligibility criteria to the extent that the law permits them to do so.
"One thing I love about our country is we are cosmapolitan."
I'll second that, sir
being cosmopolitan's one thing, letting anyone represent you in sport is a different thing. that's why there are eligbility regulations in place. sucess in international cricket shouldnt go to the country which pays the highest wages, it should go to the country which can develop talent the best and bring them through to international status.
I agree. I think there has to be limits.
I'm not attacking but i just dont understand why there has to be so many articles about a south african player that moved to england a few years ago after not cracking it in his own country.
With all the facilties & population england has, it should be tuning out these sort of players frequently and just generally pay more attention to grooming its own players and forget about foreign pre-madonnas, no matter how good they are.
have you run out of things to tweet to gary barlow and tom daley now ?
