And Arsenal have spent big so ultimately if we don't the gap gets bigger and bigger...!!! Fact!!!
--------------------------------------
Thats not a fact at all. we spent huge last year and the gap widened. Spending wisely is needed, not necessarily spending big.
SOS just take membership dues, act like tw£ts and embarrass the club.
They should be disbanded. I pity the fools who gave them money. Idiots.
So true JTR.
I hate to support the same club as these losers.

Jimmy shut up.. its nothing to do with instant success. A few of us can clearly see that we are slipping MILES behind the top 4 as it stands, and being linked with average pap left right and centre...and all we have purchased is average pap in Borini so far.
My comment is @Mr Anfield Rap
united city and chelsea are guarenteed top four. arsenal with their signings look very good. if they keep van persie as well then they will be top four guarenteed also. we need to get a move on. Us and spurs are way behind. quality cheap players are available yet we appear to be sitting there waiting for someone to buy carroll or agger so we can buy an average player in joe allen.

Astonishing that you are able to judge him on 3 friendlies and a euro game. Bravo to you sir.

we're not in the CL. We're no longer in the market for top players unless all the CL clubs passed on a player.
You can thank H&G for that. It will take a long while to fix that.

I know how is it we want I stand succes because it's another window with little quality coming in and now it is at the stage where transfers are going to be last minute panic buys, with the season almost under way that's where we are... We were rank rotten last season if you summarise it properly and other top teams have strengthened so where does that leave us for this season? Another 8th place??? Great going into a season expecting 8th isn't it? Instant success no!!! A bit more ambition Yes!!!!

......
And who insisted on the buy young and British policy in order to retain player values???
Our board???
So who essentially is to blame that we bought British and overplayed for them and are now in this mess?
The people who insisted on the ridicules transfer policy in the first place????
Kenny failed but he agreed to the policy and Comolli was the frontier for it!!!
FSG insisted on it and it failed so they should be backing the manager better to get much needed quality in. If we spend 20 million on Allen I have no hope for LFC in the next 5 years!!!!

Clubs who secure players very early in the transfer window generally get the players they want and the player gets the club they want.Buying players last minute is generally due to clubs discarding surplus players and/or agents of players hawking their players around the clubs and the biggest bidder generally wins.Do you really want that, buying players last minute who are happy to join the club offering the most money nothing else
