I don't think their would be any problems with having hazard, oscar and mata all playing at once, they're smart enough to interchange but agreed we need some new midfielders to play behind them (preferably ones that can retain the ball)
With the addition of Oscar, I am also favouring a 4-3-3 over a 4-2-31.
-------------Mikel/Romeu-------
----Ramires-----Oscar
Mata------Torres----Hazard.
This would IMO get the best out of our midfield, with only sacrificing a little of Hazards/Matas ability to influence the game.
I do feel that the club have bought Oscar with a view to replace Lampard, I'm not sure if its a good thing or a bad thing though.
Not sure, but Di Matteo seems a little to "pragmatic" to play all of Oscar, Mata and Hazard in the same team. I think Ramires might get quite a few games on the wing.
I don't think we'll just stick to one formation anyway, more likely than not we'll change between games so we don't become predictable
Good article especially seeing that its your first
I don´t think we need to worry about having too many number 10´s in the squad.
For a start Hazard has already said that he is happy to play wide and I see him mainly being deployed on the left with licence to roam centrally.
Secondly I don´t think that Oscar will be starting games. Not yet anyway. Mata will be first choice in the middle playing behind Torres. Oscar will be more of a deputy to Mata which is good as we can´t expect Mata to play every minute of every game like he did last season.
I´m not sure who will be playing on the right but whoever it is I don´t think that they are a Chelsea player just yet. So it will probably be Moses although I´m still holding out that we pull off the signing of Hulk.
With either Moses or Hulk on the right and Hazard on the left we will have plenty of width and plenty of creativity through the middle with Hazard and Mata interchanging position throughout games.
The signing of oscar can only be a good thing, having watched him in the olympics the guys got it all, and what impresses me most his how he gets about the pitch. One minute hes closing down the goalkeeper the next hes collecting the ball off one of his defenders. He gets everywhere. Thats why I feel he needs the freedom of a 4-3-3 to be able to play his natural game. Also one of Hazards biggest strengths is his ability to beat a man, so I think he needs to be playing in a formation where he can really get at defenders high up the pitch.

Nice name.
Thanks Suberb. I understand completely what you are saying. And that was exactly my view until watching us in pre season. On the left Hazard hasnt looked great and it worries me him playing there. Also on the right if we get hulk great, but Zenit seem to have outpriced us there. Therefore being forced to rely on Moses doesnt fill me with confidence and ramires isnt best there either as his crossing is very suspect. It really is a bit of a conundrum atm, and I guess we have to wait and see how RDM plays it.

I think it all depends on who we bring in. At the moment it looks like Moses is coming to Chelsea and Cavani looks possible. I´d be happy with that although Hulk is still my first choice.
I think that come the start of the season we will know whether or not we have enough options in the squad.
