You guys still need another striker.
They want Meireles, as far as i'm concerned that's a win/win.

Yes we still need a striker
Its not a case of torres hating, its a case of only having 2 strikers in our squad
Get Cavani and flog Meireles? Win-win
Now Lukaku's gone on loan (stupid bloody decision ). We do need another player who can play up front. But another exclusive central striker (particularly another high profile one) is unnecessary and could prove foolish in the long run.
He had a good game today, but how many times has he had a decent game and been declared back on form?
To be back on form he needs 2/3 months of consistent good performances and a number of goals that you could call acceptable to be number 1 forward at a club challenging for titles.
Until then, im staying cautious
If we sign Hulk. We are complete.
just clear something up for me...
how is a consolation goal in a pre-season firendly defeat "important"???
I know we need another strker but we don't need to spend 50m on one, we should buy a back up striker like Schurrle.
And it was important because it's the first competitive match of the season against the champions of england and he scored the decisive opener. put a sock in it.
Yes we still need another striker. Don't care out of Cavani, Hulk, Falcao, Lewandowski whoever. We just need one of them!
"he scored the decisive opener."
Well, it plainly wasn't 'decisive'.
A little early to declare him 'back'. We'll wait and see, but we should really have a back up plan in case Torres doesn't work.
TP whoever we sign now will have to be a sole CF unless Oscar plays in CM, which I hope he doesn't.

Why a back up? I want Torres to know he is one stinker away from getting dropped. He owes us so he should accept the challenge off whatever competition for his place we bring in.

I don't quite follow?
Personally i don't want Cavani, i would much rather we go for 1 of these players: Hulk, Neymar, Falcao or Schurlle.
Is it true Torres is yet to score a goal that has either won a point, or helped his team progress in any competition ?
Chelsea must have shelled out around £60,000,000 in transfers and wages up to know for El Nillio.
Dear oh dear, does that man owe the club, or what ?
Because we've signed Moses as a winger, even if we get Hulk we will be signing him as a CF and a CF only. We wouldn't get him to play backup to the 3 of Hazard, Oscar and Hazard and it would also render at least one of Moses/Marin useless.
Why do you want Chelsea to not succeed Stig ?
Cavani is much better than Hulk as a CF bluechelsealover
Has Moses been confirmed?
"Chelsea must have shelled out around £60,000,000 in transfers"
Think £40m more
That's why when i see comments from some fans basically implying we owe him has be banging my head against a brick wall.
He's on about 170k a week
TP no but he does look very close to signing. We've had a £9m bid accepted.
Cavani can play RW in a pinch, although obviously not as well as he plays CF. With Meireles going the other way and knocking off a fair amount from the fee i would be very happy to see us go for him.
In that case we need to find a Hernandez. Someone who will expect to earn his place rather than be entitled to it.
Borini would've been nice right about now

Still think we need Cavani?
