Peks, you want to keep the predo league as it is, or would you like to fine-tune the format a bit?

I thought there might be a way award more points for predicting upsets. Dunno how it would work, but a sort of handicap system where there'd be more to gain if you correctly predict upsets - e.g. a Granada win/draw at the Camp Nou.

Thing is I haven't been able so far to come up with anything that wouldn't make it a lot more time-consuming for you, as I imagine that something like betting odds would take quite a bit of time to compile and could also be a headache for your spreadsheet.

Just to make it clear, the sole reason I'm suggesting this is that I've never come anywhere close to winning the thing.

Yeah I think there could be a different idea for next season coming up. If there was, I'd probably end up joining but like IOAG says, it'd have to be something not too time consuming.

Why not a team of the Week? Each week, everyone who wants to be involved has to post 11 players as to who they will think will be in the team of the week. Restrictions of 2 players from each team so you don't just have all Barca and Real players, you need to have others. If you score correct you receive 5 points.

How's the actual totw chosen though? Doubt there's any website you could use because none would stick to the same big 2 limitation.

Surely it would be up through the week on the official La Liga website though?

What I mean is that they wouldn't observe the same 2-player restriction for the big 2. Anyway, that sounds more like fantasy league stuff, not really my cuppa tbh.

I actually haven't related it anywhere near to Fantasy leagues. If they didn't, they get docked 5 points then (per player). It's a pretty logical idea and it is something different.

My idea was something more in line with keeping the current system but fine-tuning it with different rewards.
Also thought maybe predicting +/- goals instead of just W/D/L. Might not be so difficult to work out a spreadsheet for something like that, as it's just basic adding and subtracting.

Anyhow, better wait and see what peks thinks. I'd rather keep it all as-is rather than make it too complicated for him. Also, if he's open to debate, the other Liga regulars ought to have their say too.
