€30M for Soldado's silly money too. Negredo isn't all that either, but his fee's closer to the mark. Spanish/Liga players are overpriced right now.

I can't see Bale working out at Madrid, he'll be an effective player but I think people will be underwhelmed from the hype simply because La Liga will not be as suited to his game as the Premier League. Players like Bale thrive on having space to run into, and that will be much more restricted in La Liga as teams are more composed on possession and the game isn't as fast as in England.

Thierry Henry was good for Barcelona, but he certainly was not hitting the standards he set at Arsenal.

Yes fair enough Henry was 29 when he transferred to Barca' and had lost some of his pace anyway, but he could not replicate his Arsenal form and La Liga

You could argue likewise with Ronaldo, but he was a far better all round player and Madrid clearly revolved their game around his strengths: will they do the same for Bale bearing in mind Ronaldo's still there?

I may be 100% wrong, but there are so many big signings that do not work out and I think this could be one of them.
