What did Jenkinson do wrong today you absolute buffoon?
After a match in which the opposition created f'k all you find fault in the defensive players.
Oh, and we don't play with a DM, so why is one essential?
Jenkinson was very good today, IMO, as were all of our defenders.
We played well - it just wasn't our day.
Jenkinson is so wasteful in possession.
Plays with his head down and should not be a footballer.
Completely agree with this article.
Sunderland created one chance in the whole game and that was in the first 5 minutes, dunno what you're talking about.
Jenkinson was fine today. But I would say we could do with an experienced RB at back up, similar to santos signing. Or a versatile defender who can play CB and fall back. But I would rather us address other areas first.
I think we need...
A DCM.
Another striker. (back up at least, to keep chamakh well away)
A versatile defender.
Sahin would be good as well. Especially until wilshere is back.
Sunderland sat back and just defended today. So frustrating
Spot on. There are holes in this team and I fear Wenger won't address them
The chance created was from Merts + Verm's poor coordination. Jenkinson was good today.
Looks at Gibbs contribution to the team (especially going forward and passing of the ball) then compare it to Jenkinson and all will become clear
Was it my imagination or did Jenkinson make passes straight to the opposition quite a few times?
Lets not get negative anyway! FIrst game...we'll improve
Im sorry but from what i saw, Jenkinson gave the ball away plenty of times.
And as for the muppet who said we dont need a DM, your clueless.
Try playing Man City, United, Chelsea without a DM.

Can't believe most peoples eyes seem to have missed this!
Gibbs is our first choice LB, Jenkinson in all honesty probably shouldn't even be back up but he's not as bad as some people make out today he didn't cost us so no need to highlight him.
Jenkinson was good defensively, although he did look a bit shaky on the ball and he played a few unnecessary lofted balls across the back four.
Any word from wengers post match interview yet?
I think Koscielny might play at RB against Stoke if he manages to recover from his injury on time.
I agree with everything you have said....Arsene Wenger on the other hand behaves as if he has crystal ball up his sleeve. He has already gone down on record and said that he feels that there is no need to strengthen.
Prepare for diaby to get injured against stoke. And watch out cazorla, they will be hacking you down. While the pre historic pundits shout "Yeahhhh!! Welcome to English football Cazorla!!!!"

We did last season and beat two of those.
thegooneretic he actually said we're still in the market for players.
I agree that we desperately need a new right back. We can't expect Jenkinson to play every game.

We don't. We expect Sagna to be fit in 3 to 4 weeks.
We still need another right back regardless. Sagna's coming back from two leg breaks and is 29.
I was impressed with Jenkinson today, he worked very hard, put in a couple of reasonable crosses and made some very good tackles. Don't forget he was up against James McLean - he's a limited player but awkward to defend against.
