Plastics had every reason to stick around, that black hole of money that is your owner. You honestly think they would have changed sides just because you had a difficult season? Takes at least a few years.
So...2005 fans came from who, then? And why 2005? What was it in the previous 3 years that suggested we were going to be successful?
"Plastics had every reason to stick around, that black hole of money that is your owner."
Who up until the Torres and Luiz signing's looked like he wasn't going to spend anymore, his attempted squad cutting project of replacing Ballack and co with untried youth's is testimony to that.

Did I say anything about 2005? Plenty of sources of plastics:
The schoolkid with no team that suddenly got into football
The supporter of a lower league side that wants to get in on the action supporting a PL team
Supporters of clubs that had some success but is looking like it will be long term elusive (not those with billion dollar backers that chuck money on 50m signings on a whim)
Foreigners that see a club on tv and want to support an english club
etc. etc.
"Foreigners that see a club on tv and want to support an english club"
Foreign supporters make the top teams.
Its thanks to the global fanbase you are able to see the likes of Cazorla playing for you.

When was it you spent 50m on Torres? 8 months after you did the double? Honestly

Hit a nerve?
I know people that follow Arsenal because of the "style of football" and have freely admitted they would jump ship if they ever stopped playing "the right way".
I think that can easily be classed as plastic too don't you?
Eh? What about his post made you think you'd hit a nerve?
He's spot on with his comment. Utd, for example, wouldn't be nearly as big without their Asian fanbase. Revenue, worldwide renown, etc.
"Hit a nerve?"
Hit what nerve exactly? Stating a fact that if there were no Arsenal supporters abroad you would not be seeing a top four team or the bunch of class players that you have seen at The Emirates/Highbury down the years
I take it after 7 years you no longer have any 'trophy plastics' at your club then Donald? How many years would you say it takes to jump ship?
Eh? What about his post made you think you'd hit a nerve?

I think it might have been the fact he was responding to a point I didn't make.
You asked for a source of plastic, I gave you one. Now you're trying to make out like I'm deriding foreign fans.
Both of you seem to have too much sun, no point trying to put words in other peoples mouths

I certainly wouldn't call them plastics however they do fit in your sources of plastics. Infact most of your fans on here aren't from Arsenal. Are they plastic ?
---
So someone asked where the plastics could come from and I gave an answer
3 chelsea fans then come along and try and turn it into another argument.
This is why I don't wander on your board

Did I say that.
Read back through the thread, find where I said that, then come back and ask that question.
Either that or recognise your own inability when it comes to reading comprehension
Chelsea fans
Is it me or have a lot of the Arsenal supporters become really bitter towards us again lately?
Im starting to wish it was them we kicked on channel 5.
You're on my board putting words into my mouth, now you're calling me bitter
Think you need to look a bit closer to home.
It's clear from your posts that you disapprove of any kind of plastic fans, as you seem to be deriding us for having so many over the last decade.
In your list, you noted 'foreign fans' as being plastic.
See where the connection comes in?
If you think this exchange is an argument, I'd hate to see how you would cope when the real numpties get going on this site. Merely a conversation. No need to get defensive.

I'm sorry, but I have to ask. Are you a bit dim or something? I said no such thing.
Give me one example of me putting words into your mouth Donald
"Foreigners that see a club on tv and want to support an english club"
That isn't words being put into your mouth Donald, that is an actual quote by yourself
