Most fans seem to think we need to splash the cash on a striker...but who that is remains unknown.
It seems to me we are not complete yet as a promotion team, and suck it and see is yet again the order of the day.
Having already said he wants all his squad to take part in the whole pre-season schedule, and just 3 weeks 'til kick off, it seems what we have is what we're going with.
Maybe with our new midfielders LC is waiting to see if the existing group of strikers have any more luck than last season, which is probabaly fair enough, but with £3m in the bank we just seem to be doing the usual, going so far but not quite far enough...
Were going nowhere if we don't get a striker in to be the No1 on the teamsheet.
Rhodes
Lee
Novak
and
Cademateri
are probably rhe worst squad of strikers in the entire league. Results prove it.
Yes but we score goals all over the pitch not just the strikers at our club that score .
i think this your could be a big year for Novak and he may surprise his critics. if he can stay fit and get some game time i think hes going to have a big impact on the field
Why is it taking him so long mn?
Cody mcdonald will do me thank you.
well loui i think he has to play to have an impact
I agree we need him on the pitch to make an impact .

MNT,
Pray tell me what I must be missing? I see Novak. I saa a bellow that people loves because he works his socks off. BUT.......
I'm lost to think of any more qualities. He couldn't head his cap. He's not especially quick, he's not especially strong, he's no dribbler and has no tricks, he's got no vision and is not a great passer of the ball.
Lee Novak is OK but at this level he's not gonna make a difference and that's what we want. WE WANT PLAYERS THAT MAKE A DIFFERENCE,
Lee Novak will never, ever make a difference at this level. Not a cat in hell's chance.
what i see in Novak isnt just that fact hes a grafter , its that desire to improve and the desire to succeed.
lets not forget hes only really had 1 full season of div 1 football, which was the 09/10 season ( he scored 14 goals) and before that was playing non league
he spent quite a lot of last year injured , he only made 13 starts. ( he did get 5 goals , all in the league)
i think with some work and experience he has great potential
Well MNT, now I'm really, really convinced.
so who would you put up front Cryer...
becuase you know a football manager can just pick any player he wants from anywhere and make them come to the club
We've missed the boat MNT.
If ee were gonna get one it would have been sorted by now.
Looks like Dean Hoyle has told Clark to get on with 'his signings' and he's saving his dosh for the new manager in the January transfer window.
well Cryer thats an interesting statement ...but how about answering the question
you believe you have all the answers but yet you dont give any
I thought I said we've missed the boat.
All the best available have been tapped up. I would have liked us to be bidding for the likes of Nugent who was out of contract. Marlon Harewood was also released by Blackpool. This is the type of player that Dean Hoyle should looking to bring, but I reckon he thinks he's had his fingers burned far too much by Lee Clark to be replacing his original signings.
Lord knows why we have Novak & Cademateri on the books. They aren't gonna take us to the land of plenty
