i love how he missed 2 semi-easy chances, failed to take a simple pass from cazorla, and failed to pass to a open man in the middle

"please don't compare the poor mans heskey to drogba"

Why not, you all think Drogba can be replaced by the £50M Heskey.

Agreed. We needed width today - not just to get crosses in for Giroud, but to stretch their defence and give him space.

Bloody hell Rev, you must be the least tolerant Arsenal fan on here. Never seen you big up a player, always negative comments about them.

When Gervinho came off and Jenkinson could start putting crosses in we played a bit better. This isn't slating Gervinho just saying Jenkinson clearly plays better attacking wise with Walcott in front of him. If he had been putting in those crosses like the one to Diaby near the end Giroud would have more likely got more.

Rev rates Ramsey. Cant really take anything that he says serious

I thought it was great for us to have a big strong striker for once. He won a lot in the air and held the ball up well.

Obviously he's far from ready or fully fit but the combative play was combined with some excellent technical play which gave flashes of real promise.

Very good article and the comparisons between the two. Especially when looking at their career path. Moved up a division and came of age quite late. So, he is a quality player like koscielny and that is clear so given a little time to adjust i have no doubts he will show it.

Gervinho cannot cross a ball. He always plays it back inside unless he's got to the byline inside the area, when he pulls it back. At least Theo tries to cross it, bless him.

Never said he was better

I still said i'd opt for Messi but would be a tough decision as if Hazard carries on doing what he's doing then who knows how good he can be

As much as I hated Drogba bullying and occasionally slightly cheating our defence. He was an incredible player and more skilful than Giroud. I think Giroud will end up being a decent alternative attacking option but will never be as influential as Drogba has been for Chelsea.

You are unfair Rev. Did we use Giroud height? No. We cant cross, our set pieced and corners are a waste of space. I think the OP said the right thing. There were times when we shiver at the Britannia whenever a high ball comes into our box. Giroud did also a lot of work defensively. He hold the ball up and there is no comparison to Chamakh. Give him credit. A lot of improvement is needed. Ask Diaby.

Oscar, another fickle chelsea muppet that popped up after CL with ADHD, like biggish and ron. Wish you tools would stick to your own board, not enough room on my filter list.
