Your optimism never ceases to amaze me. I find it inspiring.
Exactly we played much better and had many chances but couldn't finish.
Got better is not optimistic, he's a one man liverpool propoganda machine.
Seem to remember Reina has made a few errors vs Arsenal at anfield in the past. Worrying.
In fairness, we never do well in these sort of games. Even Rafa, the much heralded genius in Europe, saw his team win 2 -1 on aggregate over Grazer AK on the way to the Champion's League win.
You can't read too much into these sort of games. YEs it would be nice to turn these teams over, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter.
so far this season has been exactly like last. create lots of chances. can beat the big sides but struggle to put away the lesser sides.

I wish you were right, but the fact is we wont score enough goals this season with the squad we have. That's not a criticism you could level at Rafa's team.
I agree ARE, we look lightweight up front. BUT, I can't honestly see that we would let big Andy leave without having a replacement ready. We need a goalscorer, no doubt about it.
We are through and that's the important thing.
I was surprised that Gerrard and Suarez played the full match. Here's hoping they are fully recovered for Sunday's game. Suarez I'm sure will be fine, but Gerrard isn't getting any younger.

BR has just said as much in the post match interview, he's hoping for one or two more. Should be interesting tomorrow.
With Reina in goal you should still have more than enough against a big team, always pull out a performance for the big lads do liverpool

Maybe that's the point...
With a midfield of Sahin - Allen - Shelvey for the Arsenal match.
Llorente and Dempsey!!!
Title material
Perhaps this was a tactic from Brendan to show the owners if they don't splash the cash on a forward we are Donald Ducked
