Samir, quick question.
Did you think that Arteta was an underwhelming signing and not Arsenal quality when we got him. Because I remember feeling underwhelmed along with many other Arsenal fans when we got him and he's been brilliant for us. I reckon Essien could do a good job, at his best he was world class and I reckon we could bring out the best of Essien.
I think City are gna whip out the chequebook today..
De Rossi 70m
You don't just lose everything Samir. I reckon Chelsea aren't using Essien properly, not like they used to.
Arsenal Dog
Check my past comments, I've always rated Arteta and was delighted with the signing. I thought £10m was an absolute bargain considering he was Everton's captain and one of their best players.
I wanted him several years back as well, and the only thing that concerned me was that he was 29 years old and would only be at the club short-term. But I was happy with the signing and I was most excited by his arrival.
Marwood said today he hopes to get deals for Maicon, Sinclair, Nastasic and Garcia sorted
Arsenal Dog - Its not like we've been playing Essien at LB or anything. He's been playing where he used to play. In midfield.
Maybe the system is wrong, that's what I'm saying.

Players can lose their touch, a yard of pace, mistime challenges and their awareness may not be as good, especially when injuries have hampered their progression on the pitch. Mr Chelsea himself has said Essien seems slower these days because of the long-term injuries he has.
Chelsea fans don't even rate Mikel, yet even he is ahead of Essien these days. Hell, Romeu is better than him also. So he's the 3rd best dm in the Chelsea squad. We shouldn't be settling for players who aren't good enough anymore and Essien isn't in my books. Add to the fact he's had an injury plighted career, and it just seems even more underwhelming.
There are better options out there in our price range.
I think we'll sign Llorente. Danny out on loan.
Essien is a shadow of his former self. I'd be more than happy for him to play for Arsenal.

Mikel's quality.
I've just seen Ballotelli outside goodison, now he's heading over to Anfield
Dempsey on route to Villa, Bid accepted, blimey.
Does Dempsey even want to go Villa?
Why would you leave Fulham for Villa? London for Birmingham.
Berbatov back to Spurs,
Blimey, good move if so
"BREAKING NEWS
Aston Villa have had a bid accepted for Fulham forward Clint Dempsey. The United States international, who is valued at about £7m, remains a target for Liverpool although swap-deals involving Charlie Adam and then Jordan Henderson collapsed yesterday leaving a proposed move to Anfield on hold."
Essien used to be one of those players I rated so highly, I used to think he was brilliant and I find it hard to believe he's just lost it. He was one of the best midfielders in the world.
"Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has raised the possibility of striker Dimitar Berbatov returning to Tottenham. It was thought the Bulgarian was destined for Fulham, but Ferguson said: "He has not gone yet. I do not know anything about it. There's not been any contact from him. He could be anywhere. I really mean that. I wouldn't be surprised if he was at Tottenham. There are rumours going around. I do not think it is settled at Fulham.""
