European football expert Andy Brassell: "With Tottenham fans on tenterhooks waiting for further news of the Joao Moutinho deal, it seems like business as usual for the midfielder. He departed on a flight to the Algarve with the rest of the Porto squad ahead of tomorrow's game at Olhanense about 25 minutes ago. I'm sure the captain will allow him to keep his mobile on just this once, right?"

Number eight, mate i will kiss the feet of LEVY if he pulls this off but it looks like once again it is false hopes with him. Why would Moutinho fly back to prepare for a porto game if he signed? This is turning out to be a disaster, selling VDV and not concluding the moutinho deal.

it's good that the story has broken because now the fans know he was willing to come and available, but that it fell through due to levy being a tight .

This is the huge problem we face now having missed out on the extra CL money. Our wage structure affects us sealing wage deals with CL players after initially attracting them to Spurs. : (

sandro's right foot, we have no replacement for modric by the sounds of it, especially if Moutinho has fallen through
