A playmaker is someone who makes play, and these 5 all fit the bill

I disagree, I think Cazorla is more talented, Silva is slightly more nimble than Santi but Santi has a much much better shot on him than Silva.
There are deep lying playmakers and attacking playmakers. Depends on the team as to who is the actual playmaker.
Silva is more talented than Cazorla.

Yeah, but I think Cazorla is more effective. He has more energy, and is always willing to win the ball back. Better shot on him too.
I'm beginning to think he's better for us than Cesc was. I know it's silly after just 3 games, but Cesc usually had a tendency to just join in with that tippy tappy nonsense around the oppositions box. With Santi, he always chooses the right option. He also has a better shot on him, and presses the opposition MUCH more than Cesc did. I still think Cesc is the better overall player though.
One thing I've never liked about Santi OR Cesc are their set-pieces. They always do those fairy, floated crosses.

Mata
Chelsea was a mess before he came, he made a huge difference last season.
Surely Arsenal fans would be voting Mata if he had joined you last summer!
More talented at what Batmanu? Silva is probably technically better, but Cazorla is more two-footed, he has a better shot on him, faster, more direct and works harder.
Dembele is a box to box player.

Ofcourse Blue Bandit any player that plays for Arsenal is the best, until we sell them that is
Out of them i would say Silva is top then followed by (from what i have seen so far) Carzola and Kagawa.
Hazard although not a playmaker will get as many assists as the ones mentioned too.
But yeah Dembele is more of a box to box midfielder, if anyone is going to play that playmaker role at Tottenham its more likely to be Sigurdsson.
Sigurdsson is so bad it's unreal all he does is shoot at every given opportunity. Such an average player.
Ramsey is better than Sigurdsson
Not every team has a playmaker. Spur's don't play with a play maker.
Not every team has a playmaker. Spur's don't play with a play maker
Which is why i said Sigurdsson and he is not technically speaking a playmaker.
I think you can get away from playmakers if you have wingers, eg Lennon and Bale, but if they do not hit form Spurs will struggle as there is no one to pick up and create ie - VDV and Modric.
Cazorla seems to have the right attributed to excel as best playmaker. But he's only played 3 games. ATM I'd say its Silva. Kagawa has impressed, but he doesn't quite dominate the opposition like Cazorla or Silva do. He's more like Mata.
To mention Dembele is a joke. He doesn't hold a candle to any of the other players in the list.
He's an inferior Diaby.
"A play maker is someone like Pirlo, Scholes and Xavi who play from deep. Cazorla is an attacking midfielder."
What an idiotic comment. henrykamp I've defended you in the past. But you deserve to get jumped by eunuchs for making that that comment.
Along with this one:
"Which statistic?. I am Dembele has done more than him"
Very stupid.
Yeah, Kagawa is similar to Mata in the sense that neither of them control the tempo of a can, not to the same extent as Cazorla or Silva anyway.
They're both second strikers, they get into the box a lot more than Cazorla and Silva, so they score and assist more.
Both good players, but Cazorla and Silva are a class above them.
Mata is more adept at playmaking than Kagawa though.
I wouldn't class Kagawa in this list. As I also feel he is a second striker.
He doesn't have the array of passes or creativity these other guys have.
That's not to say he can't pick out a through ball though. He can.
"A play maker is someone like Pirlo, Scholes and Xavi who play from deep. Cazorla is an attacking midfielder."
Oh dear
Yeah I agree Dubbed, I just think those two are more similar to each other than they are to Santi and Silva.

What is wrong with this statement?. Some people like Dubbed know nothing about football. Arteta is more of a playmaker than Cazorla for our team. If you watch any game where Scholes play, players look for him at every opportunity. This is what I describe as a playmaker.
