henry, you get different kinds of playmakers.
Alonso, Schweinsteiger, Pirlo etc are deep-lying playmakers.
Silva, Cesc, Ozil are attacking midfielder, but they can still be playmakers.
Playmaker for me are Xavi or Zidane literally.
Alonso, Schweinsteiger, Pirlo etc are deep-lying playmakers.
Schweinsteiger is not. He is critise when playing for the national team in the german media. Alonso is also not a playermaker.
Pirlo at least in the national team at least yeah I agree.
They're deep-lying playmakers.
They're deep-lying playmakers.
Better: deep lying midfielder.
Silva and then Mata are the best playing in an advanced playmaking role from that list.
"Better: deep lying midfielder."
===
That would be a defensive midfielder...
Prilo, Schweinsteiger and Alonso are not defensive midfielders. They're deep-lying playmakers.
xiuxiuejar, how highly is Cazorla rated in Spain? I've got some Spanish friends who think he's better than Cesc and Silva, although I don't agree with them.
How highly do you rate him personally?
Well I have a clear "classis" definition of a playmaker in my head. That caused a bit of a problem I think.
Silva, Ozil etc are 'enganches'.
Pirlo, Alonso etc are 'registas'
Can you re-post that in English please, Connoisseur?
"What is wrong with this statement?. Some people like Dubbed know nothing about football. Arteta is more of a playmaker than Cazorla for our team. If you watch any game where Scholes play, players look for him at every opportunity. This is what I describe as a playmaker."
Why single me out, you idiot?
Arteta is a deep lying playmaker.
While Cazorla is an attacking mid he is also a playmaker.
Actually everyone looks to pass to Cazorla, including Arteta.
Cazorla is very highly rated here but we have so many players that he's unlucky not to be at Barça or Madrid. I think players like Silva and Mata and Cazorla would have been big stars for Barça / Madrid in other times. Cazorla is the least rated of all these players but he is very highly thought of.
Arsenal fans have a new hero, and of course he is now the best in his position (after 3 games), what i want to know is, if he is so good, why then was he deemed surplus to requirements at his last club??

Such a ret'arded comment. I don't know where to start.
Try the beginning, if you can find it.

Earl we have some deluded people. 3 games in and they are talking about him like he's Zidane. He is a good player, that's it. Nothing special
Silva and Mata are probably the best. Too early to judge Shinji and Carzola but i think they will excel either way.

Yeah, a midfielder who features regularly for the best international side in history with some of the best midfielders in history is just 'good'.

But he is better than any midfielder UTD have.
If he was special he would be in the first 11. Silva is a better player and is more special.
Yeah, a midfielder who features regularly for the best international side in history
