No greek islands ...Hydra , Agristi , Porous and many others
ive got ios. i havent done much travelling in greece. i thought ios was a cool little place.
my favourite experience in greece though was at a couple of the ancient sites in athens, which i thought were genuinly impressive even today.
- Temple of Zeus
- Old Agora
The traffic in Athens is suicidal , been there quite a lot to get a ferry to a fair few Islands , for me one of the great pleasures of life was chilling in a waterside taverna on a quiet Island eating Calamari with hot pitta and shots of Ouzo
sounds idyllic
for me, nothing beats grilled octopus
Saw the local lads catch a few jpb then they spend forever bashing them on a rock in the water to soften them and get rid of the ink
I love the Greek Islands with a major passion
JPB.......................I was in Victoria on Vancouver Island in July, my brother lives in Vancouver. Great part of the world!
ah yeah, i remember now genius
did you go to tofino as well as victoria ? you were going to spend much of your time on mainland B.C.werent you ?
did you make the denver to grand junction train ride btw on the other bit of your trip ?
actually, as the whole (or just about the whole) of the city of abu dhabi is an island, that should get a mention too
Eel pie island is interesting
J.P.B......................................Yes visited Tofino on the Island but did not get to go on the Denver/Grand Junction train as they were limiting it because of the big fires they had out there.
A large part of our time was spent in the Rockies at Jasper & Banff, which was brilliant.
Tend to go out there every 3-4 years....................another favourite island(s) of mine is New Zealand, have you been there?
Squid, agree with you mate - Isle of wight - great place - been there about 10 times absolutely love it. Military Road along the south coast is great....
But if you want climate, warm sea and a feeling of being in paradise the Perhentian islands off Malaysia are amazing.
Gazza without a doubt
could go past a whole team on his own
