So Ange In then?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Don’t think anyone is anti Ange - just sick to the back teeth of pizz poor lineups because “we are above a competition”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
All managers don't play their strongest teams through all competitions. It's just not feasible to do that. The problem is not having strong enough squad depth. A lot of that comes down to the club/Levy leaving us with weaker players.
----------------------------------------------------------------------

Yeah but we have no Europe and it’s August - 3 or 4 changes tonight would have been ideal. 9 changes means a completely incoherent team taking to the pitch.

Man City last season in the midst of battling for the Prem and CL went full pelt at Bristol City in the FA cup quarter final - they won the faaaacking lot.

Levy will always leave this club short - it’s what he does
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Comparing what City do and what Spurs do doesn't really work though does it?
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The point is the principle - Pep could have said faaack it, it’s Bristol City I will put out a £500m + B squad and we will crush them. He didn’t, he took them seriously and they destroyed them and went on to win the lot.

Yet we’re fretting over tiredness in August and “oh we have to see if PEH is still schitt or not” “what if Skipp turned into Pirlo overnight”
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah but it's City though. Their B team probably rivals our A team and the pressures there are different. We obviously don't have the squad depth that they do, plus we have a new manager in only his 4th game. Ange can be forgiven for trying to have a better look at this squad.

Are you reading his point mate? His point is that city did NOT play their B team, even though as you say their B team is so good. They took no chances

This squad still needs a lot of changes. The usual suspects just not up to it

My annoyance is you must compete regardless of who you play. We constantly let ourselves down on that part which fecks us…. Everyone we play you can gaurantee they will compete against us 100%

No I got his point. But Pep will have rotated at stages over the season. It's not he played the strongest team through every single match of the season. It's having that squad depth that even puts them in the position to be challenging for trebles.

But he didn't put out his A team. No Haaland, ortega in goal, Phillips with one of his 3 starts, alongside Lewis with Alverez up top. Stop rewriting history
