Prove it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Match of the day just showed it
----------------------------------------------------------------------
They showed the save and the game wasn't stopped for the ball going out though. I'm confused by this argument.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
He made the save but then the ref blew the whistle for a goal kick.
You could hear in on match of the day
----------------------------------------------------------------------
It was for an offside. I've explained above.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
I’ll take your work as can’t be bothered to go back and watch but regardless it was an offside before and the ball did go out so if it when in the goal wouldn’t have counted.
Although this is all quite trivial
----------------------------------------------------------------------
The offside wasn't before, it was after.
The ball was active when the save was made, so it goes down as a great save. Think the ball was in when the cross was made but I do accept had the ball gone in, VAR would have checked it. But there was no need, because of the fantastic save by our brilliant keeper.

There was an offside before then the ball went out off play then Vicario made the save then another offside (apparently).
What ever happened there wouldn’t have been a goal in that play
Anyway bales has got exactly what he wanted here
Hengy you're just wrong I'm afraid. There was no offside before the shot. Play wasn't stopped for the ball going out of play. Vicario made a great save. Those are the facts.

But there was an offside and the ball did go out of play and if they scored VAR would’ve confirmed both and the goal wouldn’t have stood making everything redundant.
It was a decent save ( most Gks would’ve made it though ) I give him that.

The offside was after the save, there was no offside before it, trust me.
The ball was close to going out but I'm not at all convinced it did, how comes you are?
I do agree that this is all a fairly pointless argument.
Hengy is correct. Bogle was offside in the lead up to the save by Vicario with his feet. It wouldn't have counted.

Jesus. He wasn't close to offside - I am looking at a freeze frame from motd as I write this. He was comfortably onside.
Could you draw the blue and red lines and then send a link please?
Either way, Hengy is wrong. He asserted that 'the ref had already stopped the game' - that everyone had stopped playing when the shot was taken. The goal wouldn't have stood, the save might not turn up in the stats. But he made it in normal run of play.

Another game and another penalty not given to Spurs, contrast that with Varpool & Penited being gifted pens for clear dives the other week

Bissouma was top class again. What on earth happened last season. So glad it's not just another one of those Spurs signings where the player was class for the previous club and then fell apart as soon as Spurs got them in

I didn’t assert that at all. I’m saying regardless if there was a goal var would’ve overturned it as there was two offence’s that happened meaning it didn’t matter saving it or not.
