Spurs should have won that game at a canter, but for that complete liability Romero.
He needs replacing big time.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
No he doesn’t, only you think that.

Ok both Romero and Odugie were rash but so far this season they have done a hell of a lot more right than they have wrong and as gutted as I am because it was chelsea we still put up a spirited fight so I am still happy about how the season is going even tho the loss of VDV could prove very costly indeed.

He was part of the best CB partnership in the league and better than Saliba a few days ago
What amazing spirit shown tonight. We would have won that were it not for Udogie’s stupid first yellow. It changed the mood of the entire game after that. As soon as that happens it does something to Romero. Biggest thing I’m gutted about is losing VDV. Looks a 4 monther to me. A full on tear.
Crazy because every Spurs fan was screaming for Udogie to start this game.

AussieGlue after the match interview...
"why play a high line with 9 men"?
Answer; "its who we are!"
Damn,,if the guy is too stupid to change tactics in situations like that....we've been riding our luck, and the luck has turned!
That keent Pochettino on now making out he is a master tactician.

I still can't fathom how we even got to this stage
we were absolutely cruising and two players just made some absolutely mental tackles completely unprovoked
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Yeah pretty much.
It was looking ropey even before the sendings off.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
only when Udogie made that first tackle. Before that we were playing them off the park
----------------------------------------------------------------------
We didn’t need to turn it into a battle - we could’ve played them off the park. It suited them to take it nasty.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
yup
Destiny will learn from this but Cuti has to be knowing better by now. He's still treating it like it's pre-VAR where if you win the ball then you can get away with leaving one on somebody.

Nah I think it was after. Romero red card, then VDV injury, then Maddison going off, if I remember correctly.

I’m saying without that tackle, the red mist doesn’t descend on Romero, who in all honesty could have gone earlier. That one thing changed the game entirely and there was no need to. We were winning and looking to get the second. It was just plain stupid. Romero’s penalty can happen to anyone that goes to ground in the box. He got the ball and followed through. It happens. He had to go for it. Udogie didn’t. He showed his age tonight. More composure needed.

Romero needs to learn to keep a lid on his emotions then. Udogie made a bad challenge but he's young and you can make bad challenges sometimes. Romero is making a habit of getting sent off and is an experienced international so should know better.
How we lost our heads after we went 1-0 up was a joke.
I felt sorry for Johnson as well having to go off. He was having a good game and was interested in seeing him play a good chunk of it.
